Are you ever unable to join a
server and see that annoying red quake symbol on a black background as a map pic?
This means that you do not have the current map which is being played.
You can grab custom maps off of our downloads
page or enable auto downloading. Auto downloading allows you to download
the map from the quake server which is currently being played. Although
this is convenient, the download speed is very slow (usually 4 - 16kbs)
However the map size usually isnt very large so it will only take
a minute or less to download. To enable auto downloading, use this command
in your console:
/cl_allowdownload 1
Now you will be able to enjoy many of the custom maps that you never played on before.
