I have a lot of respect for the soldiers who are fighting in Iraq right now but I think that Bush should never have started the war and sent young men and women to die just so he could finish what his dad started.

There are noble and just reasons that we could have started this war over, and those are the reasons that they tell us we went into the war for, but the true reason was our own greed. It would have been worth it to go over there just to get rid of the horrible dictator, Bin Laden, because caring for other people, not just our own people, would have made sense to me. I would gladly have given my life if it would get rid of the slightest evil in the world. But we did this to feed our own evil desires of greed, so it was actually more of a transfer than an abolishment of evil. Instead of evil being in another country, there is now more evil and corruption in the government.
I respect every soldier in the US army, and they are the people who have the most right to say whether it is worth their life or not because they have agreed to give their life if neccicary for the US.

I have full respect for our soldiers who risk their lives to protect ours.
However, the war in Iraq is insane. They hit us, so we should have bombed them. But i know, "An eye for an eye leaves the world blind" but wouldn't that have left a bigger message to the rest of the world and terrorists?
At the very least, we should have just got in, got the dictator, then got out. Instead, we got him, said "Hey, democracy works for us. We'll stick around, set it up, then go."
I mean come on. First off, when we leave, who knows if they'll keep dimocracy? Not to mention we go in, hurt them, then say sorry and use our money to make them better again.
We should have been out of there already... And bush should die a slow and painful death... Dumb president. >.>

Like everyone else, I couldn't respect the soldiers over there, and who have been over there, any more then I already do.
The war is a greedy mess though, and now that we (the U.S) have screwed everything up, you know, trashed Iraq and it's government and all, we are completely stuck until further notice.
It would be nice to have everyone home, but now it is going to be up to Obama to clean up this big 'ol mess that Bush has started.

We rebuild the towers exactly as they were and we remove as many laws as possible. We take our troops out of the Middle East and live as free as possible. If they try and attack us again, we stop them and kill them.

Just to point out the big flaw in Eldxale's post; the soldiers currently in Iraq can't be withdrawn straight away because Iraq's still in such a shambles after the invasion. Any major withdrawal of troops would give way to complete and utter chaos and make the situation even worse then at present.
To me, the whole reason Iraq was attacked was because America was beaten in the Gulf War and Bush wanted to get revenge. There wasn't any actual proof that Iraq was responsible for the attacks on the 11th of September. Anyone could have made a video and sent it to the US government claiming that they were the ones responsible and Bush would probably wage war on wherever they were living.

Since I said that "Iraq's in such a shambles" it should be rather obvious where I meant. Especially as it was in the same paragraph.
Anyway, by "here" I take it you mean America, which would also be a "there" to me since I don't live in America.

Well, if you are just worried about your own self and your own security, then why don't you just be a hermit?
They are real people with cognitive thinking over there, they are, in all respects, equal to us and equally deserve the right to live and live in peace, as us. Here you have an international audience that is worried about what will happen to us in the United States out of the kindness of their hearts, and you would say that? Truely, if all Americans think the way you think on that, then all the world would have the right to say,"Who cares about the US?" The truth of the matter is, we caused and stirred up most of the problems, and our allies still sent help, so we should give major props to them, it wasn't their mess, but they started to help us anyway. But if we were to cause damage to Iraq, we would be just as bad as the terrorists, because of harming INNOCENTS. Yes, I said it. There are innocents in Iraq, they make up the majority of the people. You and Bush have much alike in your mentalities: You both seem to think that we should screw everyone over as long as the US can get what we want, and that is just wrong.

the "INNOCENTS" have all ready been harmed the war has gone WAY too far and has done more damage then good all for what revenge? oil? they claim it's to help the people the US have been bombing and attacking all this time. i think the US should pull out and pull out now you guys are great at making war but as for peace ahh not so great its time to let the peace keepers Canada step in and take a larger part in the rebuilding. there simply is too much hate towards the US there right know for them to be effective.

Do you know what would happen if we pull out now Erik the people who are still there would be helpless. It'll end up going right back to the way it was before in fact it'll probably be worse because the Extremists will punish the people who were in support of democracy in that country. I don't like the war and I don't like the fact that we've lost so many of our soldiers but its too soon to pull out.

I am saying the US needs to pull out and let the peace keeppers take over. as i said in my post above the US is good at war but not so good at making peace after thats why you guys need to pull out and let us rebuild but that will never happen bcause that would mean that the US would loss out on all there calims on the oil.

When it comes to that, who cares about the US? Certainly not anyone I know, myself included.
