d'oh i tried man, it really is a blast on the PC, the pack is like 45 extra maps.

im going through them now, MUCH harder, shorter through, but its all presented as one continuous map so its kinda cool.

i hope you learned your lesson man, Valve games are best on the PC.

Will the 360 require the game to be in the tray in order to play? or can you just boot straight from the hard drive. either way, awesome!

i think they were going for the no cd gaming. so once you put it on the hdd, you should eb able to play it whenever.

otherwise its pretty silly bc load times really arent an issue like they used to be.

well... the thing is, iiiif i had a 360, i probably wouldnt waste the hdd space by putting games on there that i already have the cd for. id rather load it up with movies or something.

so happy i can give my ps3 a huge harddive without voiding the warrenty whenever i want lol.

every time i download a movie its only good for 24 hours! lol. hopefully once netflix works out the kinks things will be better. but as for my hdd, i'll continue loading up as much music as i can possibly stuff it with. nothing like custom play lists in some of your games....

it has to be in the drive to prevent piracy.

the benefits would be reduced load times, and just as awesome: no noise.

if you have a noisy 360, its the DvD drive spinning up. with this, the disc will be at a low RPM doing on a check every 3min or so to make sure the disc is still in there. and all data will come off of the harddrive.

this should also help increase the life of the console, as the second most problematic part for any console is the Disc Drive. it being used less should increase its lifespan. also it would reduce heat and energy output as harddrives are more energy efficient than discs.

not to mention be more reliable as discs can be scratched.

so:
-Faster load times
-Less noise
-Increased Lifespan
-more reliable media
-reduced heat
-reduced power usage

good list if i do say so myself. i just gotta get something bigger than my 20gb harddrive, i think ill do that hack that lets me put my own 120gb harddrive in the 20gb shell for just the cost of the harddrive.

Deffinetly a plus, I just sent in my second red ring o' death. Pretty sure its still a heat issue, so anything to reduce the risks is alright by me.
