Windows restarts in 30 seconds
for all of you who hate having loading times in your PC games, or just for windows in general...
dont buy a new Processor, but THIS:

what is it?
its a PCI card that allows you to install RAM onto it, it has a battery on the PCI card so the ram is always powered.. thus turning it into an extremely fast harddrive...
give it 4gb of memory, and you have a 4gb harddrive that you can install windows onto to give you INSTANT loading times.

i just saw it, and i remember a bit back Funender was talking about how you are limited by your harddrive by how fast your games can go...
mmmmn, imagine oblivion installed on this.. my god.. zero loading screens. insane preformance.
if you do it though, make sure to back up your windows onto a harddrive before any kind of long trip, i mean, you are limited to the life of the battery, and if the battery goes out, then you lose your operating system.

the idea has been around for a long time. late 1990's i believe.
in effect, there were working on a non-volitile version of RAM that is fast, and can be made cheaply.
so far we only have theories on how it will work. nothing has been proven, but there are hundreds of 'patents' on technology that is intended to do such a thing.

if they can do it.. it will replace harddrives. it will essentally be superfast, super large, non-volitle memory.
