Why do you reckon the FF characters have such big weapons?
Why do you (preferably humorously) reckon that the characters in the
FF games have such big sized weapons ?

Not all of them use big swords but... I guess the one´s that use em just need to use them in order to make it possible to kill an Imp without making Game Over xD

...so it looks cool? I don't know, nor does it matter to me. I love seeing Cloud swing his giant Ultima Weapon, 'specially when doing the Omnislash. It's **** (censored) awesome!! That, and I don't know what's the deal with Cait Sith's megaphone. It's not as if he actually hits anyone with it. He uses the stuffed Mog to inflict damage. And Tifa. Her gloves aren't big... but uh... well you know what i'm talking about. that's a wrap!!

Lol, true, some of the earlier sprite characters had weapons almost as big as them, sometimes bigger. But that's probably because they're sprites, and act kind of like dwarves. Really small, really strong for size.

The sprites in FF1 and FF2 sometimes have huge swords and axes and such, when compared to their bodies...I think in FF2 there were axes larger than the wielder's body....
