I think you were on a different class when you started this topic right? Was it Ninja? Thief/Ninja and Monk/Master Monk are two sets of classes that you'll have a harder time with than those "magic" classes. With the magic classes (Mage/Wizard, Priest/Vicar), which are the easiest imo, you have enough HP for an extra turn if there is a mistake made or a hit misses but with the rest you only have about 3 turns before you're killed.

You need a different strategy with each class- with wizard you have to rely solely on spells, including healing spells.

Ahh my Hyper Awareness item... Thanks to Fun for actually making it, originally I proposed it to be allowed to cast spells, but it was a comprise! It almost always it and did some good damage!
