o0oo i just finished my most recent playthrough about 6 months ago.. I was gonna play it again before 13 comes out, but i dont think i'll get a chance.. maybe afterwards..
Though seriously if Im out walking around in the night to ASDA with the pedo/rapist/murderer/psycho of questionable sanity vampy....who do I have to be afraid of? XD

im with arc here FF12 is a good game it's just not a good FF, however i am giving it a chance and having a playthrough now seeing as ive never actually finished it

So much so that in order to be able to play them all the time, I got a PSX emulator. XD
Don't need a PS2 emulator though, because I still have the games that were for teh PS2.

FF XII wasn't bad, but it's certainly not as good as any of the ones between (and including) IV and IX. I like XII more than X. X is far too overrated.

If it's simply because of gameplay, then that's no reason to say 7's better.
Every moment was too predictable.
No twists, no turns. The reason moments were memorable was because they were so cliche. Not to mention the horrible dialogue that would make even the translators of the olden days cringe...
FF12 may have been predictable in some ways, but I think they were delivered amazingly.
It just takes different tastes and an open mind to enjoy ff12
If you start playing and after an hour say, "this sucks, I don't even wanna bother" then obviously that's gonna be your mindset for the rest of the game...
But, The reason that it is not as captivating to FF fans as itshould be is that the dialogue is just a monotone of old english pleasantries, The characters are so shallow and underdevelloped (Barely a whisper of backstory for any character, which is really poor, especially with the history options that they COULD have used) and there is so much to do in between story line events that you tend to lose ttrack and stop caring.
I felt it to be a more 'open ended' game, due to the unrestrained story, and for me that worked, but as i stated above, that didnt work for as many people.
If you are a story wh*re, then you love all the early ones, and if you are a strategy and visual wh*re then the newer ones is where its at...
And personally i loved seven, not so much for the story, but for the game play and materia and equiptment customisation (which was f*cking deep for a game made back in the nineties)
