I agree, there are like thousands of bands around, and I don´t think you´ve listened enough different music to make that choice now (at least I hadn´t at that age XD)
My favourite singer would be either Freddie Mercury or Axl Rose, and as for bands, I don´t have a personal favorite, maybe Pink Floyd.

for me, as far as rock/metal goes, my fav would have to be either jon davis of korn or benji from skindred - jon particularly is one of the few shouters i like, has such a strength to his voice while still being able to sing well (such as on the untouchables cd).
benji of skindred has a good range, from good shout/screamer to smooth reggae vocals.
prince i feel has one of the best ranges of vocals to me, can hit disturbingly high notes and bass like low noted aswell.

Best band I choose AC/DC of course, lol. Also love Led Zeppelin and Wolfmother. Pink Floyd and the Doors are also good.
Best singer, not really sure I'm more into music than singing, but some singers suit different songs more so than others.
