There are two things to this:

1) The Six-axis capabilities allow the PS3 to act somewhat like the Wii-mote, in which moving the controller causes a reaction on the screen. But on the PS3, it is more of an extra, rather than what the whole system is based on.

2) The buttons themselves are more sensitive and some of the R and L buttons are now triggers.

Sorry I said the controls are motion sensitive. Meaning you can control the game by moving the contoller left, right, up and down and possibly diagonally. So instead of say using the D pad or analogue stick to move a character you can just tilt the control the way you want the character to go.
