which is better: Wii or PS3?
I'm tired of people argueing with me "cough"Fletch"cough" with over whats better. this is to decide once and for all, which system you think is better.

after playing a wii, and owning a wii for a month.
im finding myself loving every minute of Wii sports, and Zelda.
and seeing as how the only PS3 game that even looks remotely interesting is a generic FPS game with no other interesting games coming out anytime soon, and with exclusives jumping ship (Assasins Creed, Virtua Fighter 5) there is little there that i find myself wanting.
Wii FTW.

try and get as many people to vote as you can. I want as many votes as possible, at least 10, to see how they match up.

you should say 11...
not a number where the votes can be equal...
that would be just wrong XD
btw, i voted for the wii...
the new way of playing just atracts me somehow...
and if the PS3 controller was the way i saw it a long time ago... it doesn't look right...
it looks realy annoying to hold...
anyway, yeah, the wii sounds better in my oppinion... i mean, i don't have a high def tv... i don't need blu-ray i prefere gameplay above graphics, and with the previous gen they also said the ps2 had superior graphics... but i still think the gamecube has awsome graphics as well... has anyone seen metroid prime? i have part 2 and it looks realy good...
so... yeah, gameplay > graphics

the ps3 controller was changed from the "boomerang style" to the exact same damn design that they've used for the previous two systems, exept that they've gutted it out to make room for the wireless and motion sensitive capabilities, which are laggy at best. that means, no more rumble. another way the ps3 failed.

God... I dont even think i could give a strait answer on this one. On one hand the Wii is veeerrryyyy inovative with a couple very decent games (plus Twilight Princess )
and then on the other hand you have a whole muti-media console that plays music, movies, games... the whole "shebang." As of right now I guess I'd say PS3 but I'm guessing the Wii might have a lot more inovative features in the near future.

yeah nintendo really came through with the wii. the gamecube has no backward compatibility bc of the cartridge to disc move, but now that you can get older system games and play them on the wii, thats just huge. not to mention sega games on the wii as well.
i can always rely on nintendo to produce something that has great potential. sometimes its just a gimick, but most of the time it changes they way we play games.
and as for the rumble feature lost on the ps3 controller... i really dont get how that matters lol. more often than not id turn off the feature. i found it to be more of a gimmick than anything.
the only game that has proved to be better with a rumble feature is starfox 64 which introduced the rumble if im not mistaken. they should have left it at that lol.

I put this in another thread, but here it is again.
Comparison to the PS3:
Better Graphics: yes
Better Online: no
Actual Wii Facts:
Improved Graphics: yes
Better hardware: Nintendo has always dominated wirless and motion sensitive controlls. PS3 Failed at that. 360 did pretty well with the wirless, but it has low battery life.
Very Little or Very Crappy online functions: Have you even seen the main page? It has message boards, the ability to find out what the weather is anywhere in the world, news, downloadable games, and very soon, online games. PS3 has none of that except online games.
Multi-Media Functions: You can download pictures from memory cards, play your own music during games, and even watch videos.
Reverse capabilities: The Wii can play all gamecube games, using the gamecube controllers and memory cards. not to mention, you can download all the old popular games with the shop channel

normally i would agree with you on the whole Rumble thing..
but i have to disagree.
i started paying attention to when my controller would rumble, and on the 360 i actually turned it off.
not only did my game preformance go down, but i felt much less thrilled at beating levels. it really helps me get into the game and feel the action, it makes those last sniper shots feel like a gigantic cliffhanger at the end of the movie.
the Wii, i dident even HAVE to turn the rumble off to realize it would suck if i dident have it. typing on the wii involves pointing it at the screen at a on-screen keyobard and pressing A... it may sound difficult (or easy) but the whole thing is made easyier because the controller shakes a tiny little bit when you cross a key border to another key. that way your hand knows when to stop moving so you can be exactly on the key you want without thinking or backtracking or reaiming.
rumble does make a difference to me, while it isint a gamebreaker, it will change the way i will rate a game.
for example, on the N64 i never used the rumble feature.
but on the Xbox/PS2 i never turned it off.

The poll so far is 50-50. Wii's better and not as expensive. In fact, it's nowhere near as expensive...

"I don't think you're supposed to smoke during class."
"This isn't a cigarette. It's just a lollipop."
"Lollipops don't make any smoke."
"No, that's just 'cause it's so lollied."
