Which games should I play?
So I started to play FF 12 a few days ago and its my first FF game ever. Totally awesome game. The story could have been better and the characters could have been cooler but besides that its great. So now I wonder is it possible to play games like FF7 or are the graphics and the battle system so damn old that it isnt playable?
So what games should I play/which are playable?

Battle System are completely different...but based on your comment on FF12 i will tell you that it didnt live final fantasy...Try playing the old final fantasy and you will see how fun and awesome it is than FF 12...and if your a guy who loves graphics then i guess you might not like the old ff but besides that everythings' perfect...

ff8 does have a killer storyline. i usually go for the ones with the better storylines.

I suggest you play 6, 7, 8 and 9. Not sure of how 10 is 
6 has bad graphics... But itīs still a great game.
7 has more improved ones, but donīt be mazed if you think the 3D characters look like toys... I had the same impression. Still, itīs a great game.
8 has graphics youīll like (not as good as XIIīs, of course) and a good storyline.
9 rocks

O_o o_O don't you dare so anything bad about FF7..... Nanaki is in it... Anyway it majorly is worth it, you would love ff7... maybe not 8, ya would love 9 and probably 10...

I agree with BB. If you like more classy games I'd go with VII and IX. If you like easy games and watching a lot of scenes of which usually have nothing to do with the story then play VIII and X.

I am glad I ran across this thread. I am just getting into this game and was wondering how all the other ones were. Personally I have always been more into the gameplay than the graphics of a game.

My favorites have always been VII and IX and most of the other ones are really awsome to...and really are so good that you wont be thinking about the graphics.

ff I-VI is like pokemon xD..u see the chars from the sky xDD
but FF VII-12 they r 3D xD..cause ff VII was the first ff released in play 1 =P

I suggest all final fantasy games. At least, get the portable remakes for the classics and not the actual classics, as those are the ones I played and they're all pretty good.
And I know where to get the emulators for them.
