Which character should I use for my party...
I really like 5 characters in ffIX but i dont know which to use. Right now i'm pretty sure of going with Zidane, Vivi, Dagger, then I'm not sure about Freya or Steiner...I think steiner looks better with the party but his attitude stinks, but freya has that dragon crest move and it only costs 12 MP and her personality is my favorite in the game along with vivi and maybe zidane...steiners 9999 dmg move costs like 48 mp or somethin...I just made it to the start of disc 3 where you have to decide who you want in your party. Right now my levels are like 30-Zidane, 29-Vivi, 27- Dagger, 22- Steiner, 21- Freya. Steiner does more base damage now...but anyways which one should I use? Who does more damage for a cheaper cost and stuff? This is my first time through the game so i wont have excalibur 2 or w/e...Oh and also, which 9999 dmg move is easier to get for the characters...Or maybe use freya and steiner and get rid of someone...

go with your gut. you already have any idea of who you are goinna use (regardless of what anyone says) so just pretend i said that and go with it.

Whenever the option is possible, I'd like to take away the main character during rpg battles.
Story wise, I don't know why you are even risking Garnett and I believe you should remove her.

why is garnet bad? and whats an RPG battle lol...ummm well I could take out garnet and use Steiner, Freya, Zidane, Vivi...would that be any better? But I've noticed garnet keeps saying cant concentrate in battle a lot....

personally i never use a healer or summoner (dont ask me why i dont know). so i took garnet out and put both them 2 in there

steiner

and vivi
but whenever i can substitute zidane for someone else i alwasy do for amarant

I use Zidane, Steiner, Amarant and Freya for quick kills.
But for bosses, i use Zidane, Freya, Eiko and Garnet for backups.
