When do you think the Writer's Strike will end?
Also whose side are you on Hollywood or the writers? Since most movies flop and lose millions of dollars since they are so horrible, I don't think the writers should get paid extra. I gave up on Hollywood a long time ago after their onslaught of overhyped movies that were just embarrassing to watch. I noticed Jay Leno and other shows are going to air without writers (I mean why are they so important anyway) I am sure they could come up with their own material instead of overpaying a non-creative unsatisfied writer. I love watching the news and documentaries because the stories are so crazy and amazing that the idea would not even be conceived for a movie.

as far as im concerned the writeers get paid to do their job!
i feel it is the same as me going to my boss saying i want a cut of the profits for all the projects we do!
its just not going to happen!
i think that that writers should grow up and the shows should stand their ground!

I wonder how much they are getting paid and how much they want though? They are probably causing all of the problems for an extra $1000 a year or something  Man it seems like everything is falling apart the prices are rising, the debt is increasing, and our pay is the same or lower.

i told shandy once that the idea of marxism (everybody is equal and should be treated that way) is a right idea, just the people that put it as a fact are he wrong ones to do so and take advantage of it...
same with democracy btw, the idea is fun (power to the people!) but the ones that get the chance to make a difference are people that do their best to get there by making empty promisses, and when they're finally there they shut up and are realy happy with their pay check...
if you want the democracy to grown, cut down the wages for politicians, honestly, they don't do anything, and therefore shouldn't desserve to earn more as carpenters, plumbers, garbage men etc
as for writers, they do have a point, i mean, what would hit series like prison break, NCIS, heroes etc be without the brains that created it in the first place...
as for movies, they can't create a nice idea anymore because almost everything has already been made, though they could still try to make a movie which is based on the story rather then "just put some explosives here and there, make 10 cars blow up in that scene, spend the most money we can, and we got a hit!"

You really have a point there Wing, it´s just the same as music. People try making new stuff, but everything´s already been made before... (Well, not everything, but what´s new isn´t as great in my opinion)
I guess writers should keep doing their job, since what else can a writer do? If the movie´s bad, well, bad luck.

I think the writers have a point. DVD sales are sky rocketing and so there is a huge amount of money to be earned. They'll have to end soon though, either that or we get crap tv O.O
