I saw Beowulf on Sunday night, not in 3D though. Have to say I was disappointed that it was all animated, certainly didn't come across that way on the previews, now I understand the criticism is copped in the media here (next time I'm gonna have to read the reviews properly lol)
I liked it but it needed a background story.
I wasn't aware it was based on a book, lol, makes sense now. I was wondering if it was based on an old tale or something. Need a Danish person to help *looks at Cim*
Yeah I enjoyed Beowulf aswell in high school, I liked To Kill a Mockingbird to but thats not the point >.>
Oh yeah Gilgamesh would be awesome, but then again I have a feeling if they were to make it a movie they'd * it up unless they'd get the right producer/director/writer xD

I'm fairly sure the original was actually written in Norse. It's a Norse legend anyway. It's obviously been translated into various languages.

er....no....the storyline was so wrong XD didnt you read it?
To kill a mockingbird was ok the movie kinda killed it for me though XD cuz we had to watch the same part over and over and over....and she didnt finish the book we got to the end but we ran outta time so if you wanted to finish it you had to do it on your own which was a pain cuz she took her books back so you had to go get it yourself.
Was gilgamesh a short one? I remember it bein short or maybe that was just part of it.
yeah it wasnt really long, but its believed to be the oldest literary work. so i think some is missing (aka never translated/ too messed up or something) but most of it is there.
