 I see I'm not the only one being sceptical about it. Not to say anything... but wouldn't you normally put a visible release-date on such a large site?
Anyways, I checked the site and even if I do not speak or read Mexican, I searched for the game's title and it said "Lanzamiento: 31/Dec 2010" for Versus XIII. Now, as far as my google-abilities go, "Lanzamiento" translate to "Launch"... and even if one could speculate it was a special collector's edition... well, it's the only Final Fantasy Versus XIII that pops up.

Just some FYI on the FF vs XIII
Final Fantasy
Versus 13 will be released onto the PlayStation 3 console. Currently, a release date has yet to be announced. This page will be updated as soon as Square Enix announces any release dates.
Japan:
Currently no release date has been announced.
North America:

Europe:
Currently no release date has been announced.

Final Fantasy
Agito XIII was announced at E3 2006, first for the mobile phone, but then completely shifted to the Sony PSP. The graphics demand was said to be too high and important for cell phone technology, which is why the switch was made; no surprise when one considers the quality of Square-Enix’s graphics.
Very little is known about Agito. In fact, only one main character has even been speculated, and he is so far without a name. The game seems to use cards in its battle system, however recently S-E has stated that everything we’ve seen so far about the game may or may not have been completely changed.
No further details on the game were released in the recent E3 2009, but it is expected that more information will be revealed at the 2009 Tokyo Game Show.
Now... this is NOT from Square Enix's site... it's from http://www.finalfantasyxiii.us/
However... when I go to Square Enix's site... the NA site that is... ALL that is on there is FFXIII release on 3/9/10 & FFXIV release TBA.... the Japanese site shows FFX versus XIII - 発売日：未定... granted my Japanese sucks... but there's no date... I'm pretty sure that means TBA.... there's only a front page for this.. nothing else http://www.square-enix.co.jp/fabula/versus13/

my japanese sucks too...but there's something there...the kanji for "moon" and it's used for the date...we need someone to translate that for us! XD could be the release date XD
you know, it kind of doesn't matter anymore, SE has had us waiting since 2006 for this bloody game, what's another year ¬_¬ what's weird is that this store is already selling Versus, and the release date, as Cimmy pointed out, is on december this year...that doens't quite make sense but *shrug*

It can't be selling Versus, considering that just last week Square themselves stated that now that they've completed 13 they're going to start working on versus on a more hands-on basis.
I think they've also stated it'd be at LEAST a year from the 13 NA release

I think there's been some speculation on this matter, but I'm pretty sure that the last "official" announcement square made in reference to Versus' release date said Q4 2010 at minimum. So it could be out by then, or it could take another two years.... Only time will tell.
