Honestly, I like the second one better. the cleaner the signature is, the more people like it. The first one is not that bad, but it appears that ti's way too smudgy and sharp, which means, perhaps you could reduce the opacity if the render if you used one, and soften the background, perhaps add some more brushing effects to it, before merging the two layers together?
Render's a bit too pixelated, which doesn't fit in with the signature itself and the background, maybe if you could find a render that's not too pixelated, perhaps, this signature would come out way better than it is at the moment. The text in the first signature is also a bit off. I could make out what it said, but remember, not everyone can make out the words straight away.
For the second signature, I'd like to say that you have done quite a good job. The lightening effects are pretty good. I like the luminosity and sparkles. If I was to do one with that render, i would suggest applying half monotone and then adding a bit of magenta and cyan in order to form a brighter, yet purplish signature with various sorts of lightening effects.
Anyways, it's a good job on both of them. I will rank you in the first category: Beginner.
For the first signature I'd give you a solid 6/10. As for the second one, a quite solid 7/10.
Keep up the good work!
