What is the hardest part in FF9?
What do you think the hardest part in the game is. mine would have to be when zidane has to go to the desert palace.

you mean ispens castle? that was really easy. i was in and out within 20 mins. thats because i had all of the summons (except for ark) for dagger.

...ispens castle was not easy, it was inconvienent and boring, I was stuck using my level 1 weapons which do only 3000 damage (pathetic) and my spells are taking longet and longer, thank goodness the boss was easy to kill and I was 3/5 in stealing...

you must of been pretty strong becaues i was only like lvl 36 and only had 46 attack. i had to use magic the entire time.

Try fighting Ozma or Osma or the swirly ball in the Chocobo garden he is tougher than the Final Bosses put together with fifteen Behemoths I've been trying to fight him for three years after I beat the game and I still can't do it.

thats not bad at all. i just finaly found out about ozma and hades this year...so i cheated and use my best file and i still couldnt win against ozma, hades was the easiest boss that i ever had. i had to buy a bunch of stuff for my team i have been playing ff9 since 01 now that is seven years of gameplay and now i finally find out about ozma and hades.

im gonna have to go with the random island i cant remember the name but magic didn't work in there and i made the mistake of relying on Vivi to do my damage but i did level zidane to be the master of disaster very difficult still though

Oeilvert's not an island, though. Matches the rest of the description since it's the only place (that I know of) where magic can't be used in the game.
Toughest point for me was Gizamaluke's Cavern when I tried it the first time. I was really underlevelled there. Apart from there, the only place I really had trouble with was Kuja's Palace. I spent ages trying to solve the various puzzles.

omg since u brought up kujas place i was retarted when i did it the first time. with the weights and scale. of course its going to be the heaviest objects there. but it took me forever. then i realized that i had to turn on all the lights.

The hardest part for me my first time through, was just finding Gizmalukes Grotto, much less getting through it.
After spending weeks (yes, I was that blind) looking for it, I then barely made it through alive, as I was very under leveled.
Anymore, I would have to say that one island after Kuja captures your entire party, and you have to go on that island where magic doesn't work and do that task for him. The first time I went through, I thought Vivi would be a great choice! I ended up having to restart the game from that point. -.-

its not the whole island where magic dosnt work its just oeilvert
the hardest part for me was pandemonium where you have to fight those hard monsters with just zidane although i was a little underleveled. Gizamalukes grotto wasn't hard until i tried to kill grand dragons like a suicidal idiot

I had pretty bad times at Gizamaluke´s Grotto, Oeilvert and the desert palace (though the boss was *, the dungeon itself was pretty hard) and, the most annoying one was probably Pandemonium, hated that stupid elevator.
