Watchmen
So... this is coming out soon.
a while back (when v for vendetta came out) i picked up the graphic novel bc i heard that had a lot more substance and i was right. well while ordering it, it was offered for the free shipping on amazon if i ordered $25 soooo i picked up the watchmen graphic novel as well. needless to say i didnt get to it yet. i picked it up this afternoon and its pretty great. ive seen a lot of people either reading it for the first time or over again in preparation for the movie.
bottom line, is anyone doing this here and are you excited about the movie?

I plan on getting the comic and seeing the movie. At the moment, it looks like it is going to be incredible. Plus, if I read it, I can be furious when they change the ending to something not as cool.

Sounds like a promising movie, though not sure if they will change the ending. If they do, I say we kill them all directors.

well from what ive read and seen of the trailers, its like word for word so that part seems promising.
and its likely that the people making the movie dont care what the ending will be because once youve seen it, they already have your money lol.

the comic series was awesome, and really hope this is a huge hit which is enjoyable to watch without pandering to people who just want to see another simple superhero film (which it wont im sure)

I read that this movie was very long and very good at the same time. However it is not like any of the current action movies out today. With that, this movie will be a failure at the box office as there is supposedly no action until the end, and a good story.
I'll definitely see it. Won't be getting any books though.

ya i went to the midnight showing to AND MY GOD IT SUCKED and yes it was huge and on that note there where alot of random naked men running around for no reason but yet only two short secens with a naked women WTF. so the movie started out really REALLY slow and then there was not much action over all and only two people in the movie could really call themslefs superheros the rest where just crazy people in customs running around.

but that was the point of the comic. it was a psychological character driven super hero comic.
anyway, yes. im hearing a lot of this kind of talk. ill see it anyway later in the weekend though.

well yeah doc manhattan is silly in that respect,
