They've already starting the remake on PS3,but currently we got to see the Demo version wif some openings and endings.

It's a shame that people are in such denial.
A remake of FFVII for the PS3 is not in production...at all. Square Enix has stated this several several times. If it was in production, then don't you think they would have announced it? I know so.
In the 20+ years that Square Enix has been in the gaming market, they have never lied to their fans, so I don't see why they would start now. It's a bad marketing strategy, and obviously they know this. When they say their is no remake as of now, then that means there is no remake.
The tech demo was a Technological Demonstration. Thats it. It was used to show the capabilities of the PS3. In 1995, a tech demo of FFVI was made for the N64. No remake... In 2000, there was a remake of FFVIII for the PS2. No remake... Then in 2005 they make a tech demo for FFVII for the PS3. Do you see the patern? Cuz I sure do.
And plus, Nomura (the guy who is said to be included in a remake if it was ever actually done) is going to be busy with other projects at least for the next five years. And even Square Enix made an estimate that it would take a 300 people team and about 5 years to remake FFVII. So at the minimum, it will be released in about 10 years. That's the bare minimum right there.
And last, the president of Square Enix said they wouldn't remake any FF game as long as the original was still playable on a current generation console. And the PS3 is fully backwards compatable. So all signs point to no remake.

hmm... true... true... i think there is a possibility that at some point in time there may be a remake...
regardless i agree... it is very sad that ppl are in "such denial"... seeing all these 12 year olds freaking out and going off about how their uncle works at square and he already has the game got old along time ago... there more than likely wont be, so ppl need to stop obssesing over an overrated game and get a life... owch... i just dissed alot of ppl on this site

If they remake FFVII then the original will be replaced with the remake. Who would want to play the original when there is the new one with better graphics?
There’s also bound to be a lot of changes that not everyone will like or think should be incorporated. I guarantee they'll edit it or put a bunch of gay cheats in there.
They will butcher it in the name of money and being creative game makers. It’s a guarantee. Mark my words, you guys will buy it because you loved the original. After you play it there will be a thousand bad reviews about spoiled potential, but in the end it won't mean a thing because they have your money and your have a shi*ty remake.

what i wonder is that if they make amazig graphics, will they keep the characters small and zoomed out, or will they zoom in the whole game so its like ff10 ?
eg. birdseye view 3rd person for cloud while playing or close up 3rd person for ff10

Dude man they're etiher making it or not but i personally hope they do. Because after seeing the demo from gamespot (downloaded of course!) I pray that square will see their best chance at probably getting back money from the spirits within movie considering how many will buy this rumored remake. (also gamespot for some reason says Square will make a remake for FFVII cause there's actually info for this if u use the search on it)

The Spirits Within didn't make money because it didn't appeal to any other age group. It didn't appeal to adults because adults had never played the game. It didn't appeal to parents because parents couldn't bring their kids to see it. It didn't appeal to little kids because little kids hadn't played the game either.
It only appealed to teenagers. Thats why it fell on its ass.
