Sorry to double post but i needed to break up the text
Kais is woken up abruptly by a message from the ethereal on the Tau cruiser, Hammerhead(in english), He is ordered to report immediately to the audience room. he swiftly gets up and dons his new battlesuit. leaving his weapons behind, he rushes through the many twisting corridors of the spaceship, stopping briefly to accept salutes. Finally he enters the audience room of the cruiser. He approaches the ethereal Aun'mae and notices opposite him two large space marines in black armour with a raven pattern on their shoulders and armour. The larger and more decorated of the two steps forward and manages a small bow
"Greetings, you must be vre'Kais, i am the chapter master of the Raven Guard, Derek and this is one of my most trusted officers, Rataan"
"Hello Derek and Rataan"
Aun'Mae:"I have brought you all here to discuss a temporary alliance between the Tau scept of D'yanoi and your chapter of Raven Guard to combat the coming threat of the Tyranid Hive, Lycan"
Derek:"Yes i have considered your proposal and it seems in the interest of both parties that we accept the offer of a temporary alliance against the devourer. I must personally attend to other matters, but i leave you with brother Rataan and his well trained men, we will send you more forces should the need arise. good day"
With that Derek leaves and boards his own starcruiser
Kais:"welcome to the hammerhead, your men should be in cargo hold 2 if you wish me to escort you there, feel free to explore the ship and find your bearings but leave all offensive items and weapons in the hold, you shouldnt need them anyway"
(OOC: im gonna be away for a couple of weeks so feel free to carry on without me if someone wants to take control of my character until i get back that would be great)

Getting up he strides past the slender tau, and heads off to explore the ship, looking for places to hold up in case of betrayal. Feeling the pulse of Shadows Bane on his back, he realizes as well the sense of hunger. they are nearing the hive.
Speaking softly to himself, "I must pray before the upcoming battle. I must find a secluded place first."

"MARINE! stop there. you misunderstand us, we do not wish to have any violence until it is time to do battle with the devourer in the mentime we have given up cargo space to turn a large room into adequate acommodation for you and your men, i will allow you to wear your sword but nothing else and you will no unsheathe it whilst on this ship lest you be gunned down on suspicion of treachery. And you will not make any more demands of me do not forget that this is my ship and i am being very generous in allowing you and your men to even set foot on it without being turned to ash so think carefully next time you wish to complain. I have welcomed you onto my ship with graciousness do not throw this privelige back in my face or i may not be so generous in the future. Now i will put this behind me, allow me to give you a tour of the areas of the ship you will most likely be in need of. there is a central turbolift connecting all of the levels, this is the top level. through that door is the bridge and through that door is the lift. on the 8th level is your men's acommodation on the 5th level is the mess hall and should you need such there are facilities across the ship. the 3rd level however is off limits too you and your men. You must understand in these times that we take proper precautions although you are our allies for now we still have regulations to prevent treachery. Oh yes and i would avoid the 10th level if i were you, that is where the kroot are kept and although they are aware that you are friends we cannot be responsible for their primitive instincts. Now allow me to escort you to your acommodation"
Kais holds his hand out toward the door that he previously mentioned as the lift

Following his gesture, Rataan walks through the door toward the lift. "Might I ask where my bike is being kept at the moment? also, I must pray before the upcoming battle. I need a secluded place where I will not be disturbed. Is there such a place on this ship?"

"All of your arms and posessions are in the hold with your men, as are theirs, it is a suprisingly large space we have granted you. and as for this praying space, you do have your own private cabin within the hold but if that isnt enough i imagine that if you looked hard enough you would find a secluded spot for prayer, i would suggest one of the other cargo holds"
Kais exits the lift and guides Rataan to the hold where the marines are being housed, he opens the door and they enter a room easily the size of a small frigate, to one side of them are row upon row of bunk beds with footlockers and to the other side are weapon racks and various vehicles of imperial design.
"You have a private cabin at the end of the row, on your right, if you wish to contact me or if there is an emergency there is an intercom on the wall by the door and one in your room"

"thank you. I will inform your superiors that you have been very helpful to us."
Walking to the cabin on the far end of the space, he sees many marines checking their equipment for errors and tuning the motors on the rhinos. Finally reaching the door, he opens it up to see a small bed in a corner and a desk in the middle of the room. THere was also a cabinet where Rataan guessed was where his equipment was. Clearing the desk of the plesentries the Tau have decorated it with, Rataan set Shadows Bane on the desk very carefully. He Sat down on both knees and started the prayer.

Kais makes a leisurely stroll up to the mess area, after exiting the lift and entering the mess he sees the room torn in half with crew members on one side and a group of space marines on the other. Cold looks were being cast back and forth and the atmosphere was thick enough to cut with a knife.
Kais stepped forward into the room and all of the room's occupents stopped and stared at him.
"what is the meaning of this?" kais said to the tau side"is this how we treat our allies?, with cold neglect!?, how can we expect to fight alongside them if we cannot even eat alongside them?"
"Well?...can we?"
The tau crew sat with guilty looks on their faces, their food turning sour in their mouths.
"And you!?" Kais said turning towards the marines
"do you always dine with you armour on and your weapons by your sides?, do you not trust us to be honourable hosts?"
Some marines turned away while others continued staring almose bemused by this alien, ranting at them
Kais, seeing that he wasnt impressing anyone collected his food and sat at a table in-between the two groups and began eating

"I think I can help with this." Rataan starts forward from the second lift. "We marines are trained to always be prepared in case of an emergency. thus, the armor and sidearms. I'm sorry for the inconvenience of this, but It's basic instinct now." strolling between both sides looking side to side at both groups. Saying aloud so all could hear, Rataan starts in a cold stern voice, "If you plant the seeds of mistrust now, there will be no trust on the battlefield. If there is no trust on the battlefield, you fight alone. when you fight alone, you die. Space marines aren't unstoppable and Tau warriors aren't either. If you don't trust your battle brothers, you seclude yourself and seal your fate. The parasites fight in mass numbers and you must trust the people on both sides of you to help you out and you do the same for them. If we get surrounded and cut off, we can only prey for help. the Tyranids prey on weaker foes that are alone and can be surrounded. That's how they fight. we must depend on each other to see another day. What say you all? I have chosen my side, have you chosen yours yet?" sitting next to Kais, he begins to sit and stare at the strange purpelish lump that lay on his plate hoping that it won't move.

"puka pod" says kais with his mouth half full
"a fish with spectacular nutritional properties"
as he says this some tau and marines begin to close the gap, shyly moving towards other tables and sitting together, some even began bantering
"Thank you for your help, it is most important that we trust each other and can be brothers in battle, otherwise we can never hope to defeat the devourer"
(A Week Later)
Alarms sound across the hammerhead as the tyranid hive approaches the planet D'yanoi. Kais and Rattan stand on the bridge monitoring the situation when a crewman shouts over his shoulder
"we have tyranid pods dropping to the surface, what do we do?"
Kais:"target them and shoot as many down as possible, ready the drop pods, order a hunter cadre to drop to the surface in 10 minutes to repel the attack also allow for Rattan's space marines to drop we will destroy the devourer for the greater good!"
