If you meant which FF is better,FF7 or FF8? Than the answer is FF7 but if your question was which FF is the best among all FFs series, FF7 or FF8? The answer would be none.
I got confused by your question but I hope both my answers would help ya  .
FF7 was better than FF8 but not the best among all FFs. (whoa this sounds like maths probablity lol)

there is no definite answer as its all about taste. its not like a poll is going to change anyones opinions...but having said that...ff8 kicks all ff's butts, thats a fact. lol

FF VII is better. You don't get anyone with a stupidly huge sword or some one who turns into demons on FF VIII. That's the major fault.
