Can any of you beat the game without the sphere grid
As the title says ive seen plenty of vids of people beating the game without using the sphere grid. Sometimes even more complex like no aeons etc.
If you have what ive never understood with it is how people still manage to increase there HP as I thought you had to use the sphere grid to impove you HP.
Id like to attempt a no sphere grid run at some point.

I probably wouldnt get that far. Would probably miss energy blast as I dont remember it from when I beat the game before.
Ive just been watching some vids of it from the start of the game. Im sure where I dont do that great on Final Fantasy games is because of not understanding all of the magic abilities and which are best to use.

dont even think about not using sphere grid it's impossible you'll get annihilated and if you see someone play and did not use sphere grid that's impossible ...ohh you said that not using aeons is more complex than using sphere grid? Well ive started a no sphere grid game now. I havent used it yet but ive had no tough battles either.
If you search for no sphere grid vids on you tube there are plenty. Alot of ways to kill the enemies involves using items particuarly with Riku. With some good mixes alot of damage can be done.
With the aeon part I meant no sphere grid or aeons in the same game. I think people take it even further than that aswell.
its possible actually....u have to work really hard to use ure aeons
and also rikku's items are awesome....shes how u heal in battle
you guys know that aeons are linked to characters right?if you remain weak then aeons wont improve aswell...just like drewy said the only way is to get lots and lots of items and do the rikku overdrive(i never thought of that) but it's still going to be a pain in the ass...

o..and i thot only their ultimate weapons were linked?
they're status are linked to the characters status...if you remain weak then it's the same with them...

that's an exception....but you need lots and lots of time to make your aeons become stronger...

yea....then again..anythings possible with zanmato lol
ohh yeah damn i didnt think of that.. ...big amount of gil would be needed..oh and by the way i dont know why but my yojimbo wont do zanmato..im giving him the right amount and sometimes i give him millions but he wont do the freakin technique...and this is some what funny..cause one of my friends play this game too and he only give yojimbo 1 gil and it does zanmato...im really pissed when i saw that...
