who thought final fantasy eight was amazing
in counter attack to the 'is ff8 crap' thread, here is a place to decide whether it is (as i believe) one of the greatest gaming experiences ever created.
with an engaging story, dynamic action sequences and fmv's, heart wrenching character stories and sub plots, brilliniant graphics, gorgeous soundtrack and entertaining gameplay mixed with impactful characters players can relate to and feel for, this is a truly immersive experience.

No way, Square Enix has made alot better games than FF8, FF7, FF10 FF12 FF Tactics were about 10 times better than FF8. No compition. I know this is the opposite of the topic.

i loved the game. i reckon one of the reason's for that was that while it had twists and plots all over it's story was simple to follow where as some of the other's had to played a few times to grasp completely. The graphics where really smart. this may not be a good thing but i could relate to squall's character an awful lot at the time. oh one other thing i almost forgot FF8 can boast one thing the others can't one of my favourite summons of all time....DIABLOS..

i've played all the ff series. ffVIII is by and large the best one.the best charecters, the best game play, the best adventure. anyone who thinks it's crap doesn't know a truly masterful game when it's sitting in their deck.

i think that it wasn't the best game, the storyline was pretty good, but the gameplay and characters were kinda no good. FF10 and FF7 were alot better to me, but thats my opinion.

One question.. Every anti-FFVIII here says that FFVIII's gameplay and characters were good but the storyline was lacking.. Have you played the game?

ah, exuse me but i dont remember them ever being ordered to save the world....
or, to disobey his orders and fly out into space on his own, to save someone...
also, only, what, 4 of the characters are accually part of the whole SEED thing...
Squall, Zell, Quistis, and uh, i think Selphy was part of it at one point...
also, its hard to judge a game on the whole, it depends on what your buying it for, I for one massively favor games with good storylines, the battle system comes next, witch i personally liked FF8's (god i never wouldve gotten past those damn propagators without junction), and the rest comes after.

might i reiterate that the FF series was built so that the individual games would NOT be compared to one another.
