If cloud got stabbed, he'd keep fighting (Sephiroth stabbed cloud in the nibel reactor 5 years before FFVII) but squall can't take that kinnda attack (Falls unconsious when stabbed by Edea's Icicle attack during the Deling city parade)

YEah, Cloud got stabbed but the ice that stabbed squall can bring him to death,too... But fortunately, he was cured (by edea?)...
IT is based on the story... The story said that he must be stabbed ang fight back then be it...
I know some issues which Squall seems like just a sittting duck.. When XATM(the spider machine) chased him then he just Runaway then a GIRL(girl?) as in Quistis saved him... but like i said, it was the story which made him that way so you must not compare the characters...

If we observe the movies carefully, lets take advent children and FF8's FMVs as an example. Ok lets go with the observation:
Observation no.1: Squall's mortal like combat.
Movie no.1 - Squall vs Seifer (intro movie)
- Squall fights with a gunblade, there was a few sparks formed when it clashed with Seifer's Hyperion but the combat was merely mortal like...there's no Godlike features seen.
- Squall's rough divide don't look like the one in the game, its just a normal slash from the ground upwards (realistic? maybe, well he didn't went metres above Seifer and sending the whole ground exploding beneath him)
Movie no.2 - XATM? vs Squall and the gang
- That thing is huge, logically you can't just slash the thing off with a gunblade cuz its made of metal (exception for godlikes sword like Cloud's).
- Gunpower vs machine = machine goes kaboom.
- There's no GF in aid during the FMV so the GFs aren't part of the 'reality' scene.
- I don't see Squall's gunblade around his body...but it appears all of sudden during battle...it must be invisible.
Movie no.3 - Squall at Edea's parade
- Squall's blasting zone looks awfully pathetic...or we might rather say realistic?
- He just jumps from high ground and hit that galbadian soldier hard. Well, no super light force formed beyond the atmosphere layer anyway.
- Thankfully the galbadian soldier had a shield....exception for Cloud's sword..he can just slash that thick metal and kill that poor guy in seconds.
Movie no.4 - Squall being hit by Edea's Limit break
- It struck too close to comfort though it didn't hit his lungs or heart (or the paramedics will have a hard time operating him).
- Exception for Cloud's flesh, since he's the godlike character....bah Edea's limit would be insect bite for him. He would just pull the ice thing out and perform omnislash....poor Edea..(I like her hair though).
Observation no.2: Cloud-san's Beyond Godlike spree.
Movie no.1 - Combat on bike.
- He's the only guy I seen in my life had good anticipation on landing perfectly onto his bike while fighting in air.
- His bike is cool.
Movie no.2 - Who made that sword?
- I dunno what metal his sword are made of, but it has bike and building cutting ability...I'm sure it'll prove worthy in the field of construction.
- I'm sure if you bring a whole battalion against him...the result would be him standing infront of pieces of tanks and choppers.
Movie no.3 - Cloud's learn from mr.Keanu Reeves abt Matrix moves.
- Well I dunno abt Neo, but Cloud can dodge and hit every single bullet shot at him.
- We can only count on Snipers or backstabber to kill him using a gun.
Movie no.4 - Cloud learns physics well.
- He lands safely without breaking any of his leg bones after finishing off Neo Bahamut back in Midgar.
- He must have mastered the skill of manipulating the gravity force.
- Please don't try his act at home or any other places.

Yah..
By the way, have you seen anyone carrying that sword(buster sword) in a battle? It's the heaviest i think, hahah... It's obvoius that it can't be a sword like Excaibur that can be used during a battle..
And a gunblade can be real..
