In FFVII AC, Cloud Jumps a lot which boost his abilities and make people think his skills are better than Squall.. Their Personalities affect them, too, which made squall less cooler than cloud.. The Villains also affect the characters..For Example, Sephiroth is the best Villain and is beaten by the Mighty Cloud which made him cooler.. And in that way, they say Squall is not or will never top Cloud..
In the game, cloud is good but squall beats him but after the movie was made, Cloud was on his way at the top, until now..
What i'm hoping is that they must make a movie of FFVIII to see who really is the coolest...
As what Ms. Ochibi said, they are just the same  ...

They are alreaking remaking FFVII® for PS3..
As for FFVII®, Many like FVIII®, too... It's so unfair cause FFVII have a movie already and yet, there will be a remake for the Ps3... How about FFVIII?
Many said it's because of the GRaphics.. And Many said, it's because FFVII's story is the best... But remaking includes the story right? So FFVIII can be like FFVII if they remake one...

Really you also have to think about speed, like Squall is strong but Cloud is way faster, Cloud could get like tens of punches and hits in while Squall is still trying to find him.

So, you think squall is slow?
Cloud appeared stronger and faster in the movie not in the game, just the same way with squall.. They are equal in the game but we can't compared them if it is game to Movie..
