Final Fantasy VII was the first Rpg that i ever played so it will always be the best in my mind. Its also got like the best graphics for its time.

It is by far the best Final Fantasy game I've ever played, and I always go back to it even now. Now what does that say considering the difference in graphics.

final fantasy overall is a great success... with 7 being the best one of all, before i played this game, i guarantee i was different than what i was now... i was so impressed... how a game can create a storyline as good as this(u know what?i'll rate it a 13 or 15/10).. i was touched when aeris died... and i can't describe the feeling listening to aeris's theme... final fantasy vii was just so special, back then, u see yourself at midgar in the first bombing mission with barret and now you're far in the front, confronting sephiroth in the core of the earth; the final battle, with the highwind song played while u drive it. I just can't believe any"thing" as good as this can exist, 8 has a lot of action but its storyline was a failure, 9's storyline was incredibly nice but boring and its battle system ruins the game, don't ask me to comment about 10(its characters just don't suit it... you know what? there's practically NOTHING good about 10 except its gameplay and graphics) while 12 only has its graphics as its positive point, but of course, that's all what i think. One type of person i dislike in final fantasy is that, when they play, say 9 or 8, then they play 7, they know 7 is nice but they just doesn't want their current favourite ff to be surpassed. ANOTHER type of person... the all-good graphics rater... for PS1 7's graphics were good and plus... i dare all those to play a game with graphics and effects as real as human but the storyline as short as 1 hour, the characters' names are bla, when u fight, there are bla's as commands, when u damage there's bla, and when they talk they just say bla bla bla... i dare all of you to live with that for a year.

FFVII is actually the game that got me into final fantasy. Now I'm going old school on my gameboy and playing the game boy version for FFV. I might try to play a newer one but I like the older ones better then the new ones. I'm going to try the online game too and see how it is though.

niether of them can hold a candle to ff8. ff7 was greatly noticed for its huge leap in graphics from never-ending sprites. ff9 just shortened the characters. ff8 for teh win!

FF VII and IX would be trampling over VIII's corpse before it even realized that it was being attacked. Out of the first 9 games, VIII was the worst.

*cries* stop attacking my ff8! it was the first time the graphics included fully animated, full-size humans, anywho, not people with stumps for arms or whos heads seemed to balance on its neck. theres no way its the worst out of all the 9 games

They don't have to. It just makes the spells stronger when they both combine to cast a spell.

totally with ya there! ff7 was the first game I ever played, but 8 was the first game I ever completed. Not only are the graphics great on 8, but the story is the best, maybe it's not as complex as 7, but a storyline doesn't need to be complex to be good.

...really, I didn't find FF7 that hard that you finished an entire game before it...and I like the storyline the way it is...

...they don't cast it on their own, and besides, it seems quite pathetic that they need to charge up for a weak attack like "light flare"...
