I have to agree with the last two posters. The song by itself could stand on it's own but the fact that at the end of chapter 5 when Shuyin asks that moment was all they got and Lenne said that moment was all they needed would be enough to soften even the hardest hearts. I think this is also why 1000 words and it's japanese counter part will always be my favorite song
