Their both weak personality wise... and sephiroth is incredibly weak despite the fact hes supposed to be this powerful swordsman... I'll have to go with cloud despite the fact I dont like him

The fact that Sephiroth is a wacko strong swordsman is true, but when it comes to spiritual energy and motivation Cloud wins.
Sephiroth's mentalism: Revenge and hatred
Cloud's mentalism: Comradeship and revenge
Sephiroth seeks to destroy everything to full-fill Jenova's earlier purposes added with the hatred when he knew he was bornt in an experiment. Cloud has additional supportive couragement, which is the comradeship-if we stand united even the ultimate villain will fall. He also seeks revenge for Aeris's death.
In FF7AC, Cloud is equavalently as strong as Sephiroth, perhaps stronger. He got tired after a while fighting because he has been handicapped all the time. Remember he fought 3 battles continuosly before the met the full-strength Sephiroth. Cloud fought Neo-Bahamut,a short battle with Yazoo and Loz, and finally Kadaj.

lol... if were talking gameplay wise... sephiroth is probably the easiest final boss in every FF out there...
storyline wise sephiroth was not invincible... not the ultimate villian by any means...

well cloud has a strong heart and will, therefore making him better.
but sephy kicks ass, so.. yeah. but that's not a reason to be better.

Cloud = Generic Hero
Sephiroth = Generic Villian
I always lead towards the villian, so I'll take Sephiroth. Even though he was a total disappointment as a boss. I personally found the fight with Hojo to be harder than both Sephiroth's combined.

Whenever he was struck in battle, it did 0 damage.. I'd say that is invincible
