I saw that clip a while back. I also heard that they arnt gonna make a remake. But! Like everyone is saying, keep positive. I bet they got soooooo much feedback from that small clip of fans saying how awsome it would be to have a remake! when they see how much profit they will make, they may reconsider 
It would be sooooo awsome if they did!

But, it may not be the sales or anything else that actually has to do with the game that's keeping them back. How many games did they announce at E3? like 6? 7? Next gen games take longer and require more skilled people to be created, so it may be that they don't have the man power or the time to remake FFVII. But, since they probably wish they could remake, if my hypothesis is correct, after they have finished their current announced games, they may start on the remake. That's what I hope happens.
