responsibility

so im sitting in my mass media class today and the prof. is going on and on about how our generation has certain responsibilities when it comes to the world. i didnt feel i was paying for this kind of lesson so i called him on it and he shut his trap. either way, it got me thinking, what kind of responsibilities does our generation have? Can we be expected to rise to the expectations? thechnology has been moving so fast in the last 30 or so years, can we keep that momentum going?

i really dont think we can. i look around and see so many (pardon me) stupid ppl roaming around with no direction. people that have no ambition. lazy, over weight, and lacking any kind of work ethics. on the other hand i know plenty of ppl with more than enough oportunites and they have the know how and are ridiculously smart, but sadly they lack common sence. it happens too often. what are our chances as a generation to actually make the world better? im almost scared to ask bc it will prolong this thought process, but eh... what do you think?

Well does it really matter if we keep Technology going quickly as long as we can teach the next generation how to at least keep it going we will be fine when the time comes we will make our own revolutions but now is the time we have to grab life and make it worth it now is the time for to have funn now is the time to be young so dont worry about it at all

Its all very well for the previous generation to say we the future generation have responsibilities but right now they dont seem to be upholding their own do they? fact is what they actually seem to be saying is we dont have to take responsibility for anything, do what you want and others will repair the damage for you. which is why they moan at us when we follow their example rather than actually do something about it.

Plus do we really want to keep the technology going as fast as we do when we barely understand the level were at now? What we need to do is make our own behaviour catch up with technology and then push it ahead. A lot of sh!t that happens in this world is because we have stoneage minds in a hi tech world, which makes us a lot more destructive (nuclear weapons case in point)

I guess Im a pessimist cause I just see humanity bringing along its own downfall right now but on the other hand i dont want it to all go away.

Humanity goes ahead and changes the world around them to suit themselves instead of suiting themselves to the world. They take the cheap and easy way now at the cost of the future.. of which there wont be much, for us at least.

Responsibility has become more of a luxury. With all of the technology out now, who needs to be responsible. For the people with no common sense, like me, they were never taught. They never learned about all of the things that was presented in the past. Now, is there really a drive to learn? In the past there was incentive and hope, woman would stay at home and teach their children about lessons we deem as "Common Sense". But now the tide has changed with both parents working hard, their children are left to fend for themselves (figuratively). Truthfully, I think that our predecessors will rise to the responsibilities that are presented to them. But now there are not many things to be met, and we become lazy.
