Quicker Limit Breaks
When your health is low you will not always get a limit break. To ensure that you do wait for the target character's turn and hit O repeatedly. This should ensure the Limit Break activation

Disc 1 Twin Lance Blade:
Right after Squall,Zell and Selphie reached Timber,go to da hotel with train model and a lady viewing da train model. Invite her for a card duel and win 3 Hexadragon cards,3 Geezard cards and 2 Armadodo cards/1 T-Rexaur card. Use Card Mode to refine em into 1 Dino Bone/1 Red Fang/12 Screws. Go to Timber Junk shop to upgrade Squall's current blade (Revolver mayb) into Twin Lance which allows Squall to use Blasting Zone in Disc 1.

GF Boost
If you have a GF who has learned "Boost," this trick will work. While your GF is about to appear on the screen, hold down "Select" and you should see a hand pointing a finger on the "Square" button and a number next to it. Keep holding "Select" and rapidly hit "Square" This will raise that number which means more damage to the enemy. But make sure you stop when an X appears over the hand. If you don't, the number will start back at the beginning. Wait for the X to go away and repeat the process. The higher the number reached, the more damage caused

It's easy to kill the final boss with low level characters, becuse all your foes are scaled to match yourself you can earn a ton of magic from draw, but by not killing your foes keep your level low to prevent your foes from using the most powerfull attacks.
Oh, and Devour doesn't earn you EXP but gets you items and AP, perfect if you want to get those top items but keep your level low.

Easy Pulse Ammo:
Make sure you've learned Card, and Card Mode ability. Go to Eshtar after the tradegy of Lunar Cry,from Doc Odin's Lab go to the north-east path to the next screen,then walk straight and turn right. There wud b a dark brownish character sitting there,talk to him and you'll fight Elnoyle. Simply reduce its life without killing it and Card it. Go back to the next screen,and come back to da same spot to fight da same Elnoyle again. Collect 9 Elnoyle cards to refine em into Energy crystal den use Ammo-RF to refine em into Pulse Ammo.

the strangest thing happened to me, i got the lion heart on disk two just after the missile attack. when it went back to my garden party where everyone is lookin for cid, i left and went to balamb garden and all of squalls weapons were there, no one elses, but i got all the items earlier and i think that might have triggered something, how great is that?
i dont know what happened but im sure glad it did!
im trying to complete the game one hundred percent again so i have a lot of items including the ones i needed.

i just checked up on that with the lionheart weapon and someone got it on disk one, so the conclusion i came up with is, if you have all the items early, you can get it, i dont know about other characters though. ill go and find out.

Easy AP:
Go to cactuar island,its located east to Edea's House and south west of Abadan Plains. Fight cactuars and you'll earn 20AP for each cactuar killed. Cactuar dun giv much EXP though.
Queen of cards:
If you're looking for Chocobo,Kiros,Phoenix,and Irvine's card. You gotta go to Abadan Plains in DISC 4 located south of Tears Point and south east of Minde Island where there's a spacecraft crashed. You'll find da Queen of cards,duel her and she should hav those cards. Becareful to check every rule each time you duel wif her,she kept on changing da rules.

One thing that probably won't help you with the game but still kinda cool to know anyway is when you're in the base of the Deep Sea Research Station before battling the Ultima Weapon and You didn't have Zell open the final door, EncNone does work but it's ineffective if you have enough steam points or whatever their called to battle Ultima Weapon.

Also, in the Final Battle against Ultimecia, Grevier, Ultimecia Junctioned into Grevier, and the freaky lookin' thing with a hole for a face that calles herself Ultimecia, If you junction GF's only to Squall, Irvine, and Selphie and give them all 20 or more Aura's and Esunas, you can win easily. If any other characters step in, just use them as long as you can and don't cure them. That way when they die they're replaced by one of the characters that has GF's junctioned. The limit Break Full-Cure for Selphie is helpful on all stages (Expecially when Ultimecia starts using Hell's Judgement) and Renzokuken and Irvines AP Shot and Hyper Shot eliminate all of her HP quickly which makes for an easy win.

Infinite GF and Character Cards
Not sure if this is a glitch in my copy of FF8 since every time i play through it works for me but if you beat all the CC club in Balamb Garden on Disc 2 (win 20 card games to earn the right to play Jack, beat him to play Spade, Diamond, Joker, Queen of Hearts (Xu) and finally King (Quistis) [After beating Xu challenge Dr. Kadowaki at cards then go rest in Squalls room to play against Quistis] I think thats all the CC club) anyways if you beat them all then all the CC Club will be on the Ragnarok on Disc 4 for you to play against. You also have to have got one of every card first! (Get the star next to Card on menu)
Thing is if you card mod any Gf or Character card (besides those you get from the Queen of Cards side quest [Phoenix, Doomtrain, Kiros, Irvine]) for items then you can get them back as many times you want by playing any of the CC Club.
Therefore easy way to get 100 Megalixirs, Heroes and Holy wars and still keep Bahamut, Laguna and Gilgamesh cards.
Also means you can get loads of Stat up items by refining. (Thats how i got my base Str for all characters up to 255 tho admittedly it takes a while)

Never ending stream of Gil.
If you want gil and a lot of it, all you have to do is buy a ton of Tents and refine them into MegaPotions or whatever medicine it is that gives 1000 hp to all party members and then sell it. Repeat constantly and you actually earn gil.

Near Timber theres a lake called Obel Lake with a small peninsula that cuts into it. If you go to the tip of the peninsula and click x and then select the option -try humming- a black shadow appears. Do what the black shadow tells ya to do and you get some rare items in the end.
