Ragnarok: In Norse Myths, the end of the world where the gods and demons will do battle.
Fenrir: Norse mythology, will kill Odin at Ragnarok, and yes a canine creature
Valefore: In demonology Valefor is a Duke of Hell. He tempts people to steal and is in charge of a good relationship among thieves, but later he brings them to the gallows. Valefor is considered a good familiar. He commands ten legions of demons.
doomtrain origionated in FF6 when you had to fight a train that takes people to the world of the undead because cyan charged onboard and you couldn't leave him to die.
it then reapeared in FFVII as a summon, if you look closly you can spot some remarkable similarities(colour, the face in the window when it first crosses the camera...), I don't know what religion belives in such a thing, if any.

Sephiroth is a name of ten planets similar to heaven/hell. Type Sephiroth in Wikipedia to get the whole thing. It's really interesting.
Well how about this:
Ragnarok:
Norse Myths:
The end of the world, said to have all gods and demons battle. Fenrir kills Odin, Thor kills Jormangund (who is an enemy in the game,) but is kill by the serpent's poison, and a lotta other stuff.
Ifrit is mentioned in the Qur'an, Sura An-Naml:39. (27:39)
A Ifrīt (strong one) from the jinn said: "I will bring it to you before you rise from your place (council). And verily, I am indeed strong, and trustworthy for such work."
It's a Qur'anic passage where King Solomon asks various creatures who can bring the throne of the Queen of Sheba to him fastest. The Ifrit was outperformed by prayer.
According to the majority of Islamic scholars, clear evidence exists in the Qur'an that the Devil was not an angel (as thought by Christians), but a jinn, citing the Quranic verse "And when We said to the angels:'Prostrate yourselves unto Adam.' So they prostrated themselves except Iblis (The Devil). He was one of the jinn..." Surat Al-Kahf, 18:50. According to Islam, angels are different physical beings, and unlike the fiery nature of jinn, they are beings of goodness and cannot choose to disobey God, nor do they possess the ability to do evil.
