so let me wrap up what happened after Valentines day.
she said it was the "Best valentine she has EVER gotten" and proceeded to explain to me all the previous valentines she has gotten and how crappy they were.. the only one that came close was the one a stalker got her in 7th grade.
anyway, that night, she snuggled more so than ever before, i felt daring and slyly moved my hand onto her stomach. i was rewarded by her hand moving and grabbing mine.
i know its just her subconcious as she was sleeping at the time, but it get better.
she turned over, for the first time she has slept in my bed, and puts her forehead next to mine, nearly touching foreheads.
i couldn't sleep for as long as she held that pose, my hand being held by her's on her stomach, her forehead touching mine.
she was asleep for all of it...... but that HAS to mean something right?
then there was some spooning that made the other spooning of the previous nights look like crap. i mean she backed up pretty good, from neck to leg we were having full contact. (plus my hand still on her stomach being held by her.. that hand was there pretty much the whole night)
anyway, i didn't get laid. but i'm kind of fine with it at the moment, i'm definitely falling for this girl. no turning back. no "moving on to the next chick that will actually * me" as my dad puts it (and i don't really want to either.)
so yeah, good freaking valentines day =)

I was so happy for you when I read the first post because it's definitely an amazing thing to see someone so infatuated with another. I'm just so sorry that it had to end that way.
Did you ever talked to her again? I know from personal experience that we girls say things we don't really mean when we talk to a girlfriend or a sister. But if she really did mean it, then it was a good thing you cut off ties.
Don't let one girl ruin your outlook on females. I am positive there's someone out there (ever the optimist, I am). Patience is a virtue, my friend, and good things come to those who wait.
I really hope you keep us updated. It will be worth it when you do find someone you want to spend the rest of your life with. Best of luck to your relationships from here on out.

You sound like a top guy and deserved a bit of a nicer comment from her.
I know exactly what you mean when you say strung along, it's happened to me before.
But the worst thing you can do is start making regrets or thinking about what was said and looking too much into it. Even though it truly hurts, and will result in sleepless nights if you do. Easier said than done I guess lol but 4 times? ouch.
The girl is just not ready, and probably never will be due to her insecurity, and will most likely end up with a dominating idiot of a partner because she can't make up her own mind and wants someone else to do it for her, like I see so many girls have...
I don't get girls. Not sure if I want to either.

As corny, obvious, and "easier said than done" as this sounds, try not to dwell on it so much. The more you think about it the angrier you're going to get.
And I wouldn't suggest trying to get a gf quickly, then you're just perpetuating the cycle. A long term distraction would be nice though, something that will get your mind off of it for a long time.
I really wish I could give you some decent advise on your situation but... alas, I'm not sure what to say. If you truly hate who you've become, then fix it. Find each piece of yourself that you dislike, and change it into something that you like. Plus, I doubt you'll find a girl that will make you happy if you are so hard on yourself. Without confidence (not to be confused with cockiness) you're going to find getting a girl difficult. (Just based on personal experience)
All in all, this will pass, given time. But your outlook will have an impact on how bad it is. Regardless of what happens, you should always look for something that will make you happy. If searching for a decent girl gets irritating, find something else to spend time on.

I'm the opposite, if she felt bad I would also feel worse. On the other hand if the girl who broke up was better off that way I'd feel good knowing that she was happier and I wasn't a burden for her anymore XD
