So far: Happiest day of my life
i have talked before about how i dislike my brothers Fiance, how we lothe and insult each other. and i seriously hated the idea of her marrying my brother.
but i went to the wedding, i had stormed up a BUNCH of ideas on how to ruin their day. a few i almost followed through with.
but then, i saw my brother crying at the alter, he was teary eyed and the happiest i have EVER seen him.
and i did a complete 180, i will do whatever i can to repair any bridges we burned before, when i say "Congratulations" i MEAN it now. i am so happy that my brother could find someone who could bring that much joy into his heart.
this was the epiphany that i had today, that i truly want my brother and his new wife to be happy together and be a couple for years and years to a ripe old age.
then it gets better.
i took a woman that i have had a crush on for about 3 months to the wedding, she is smart, creative, inspired, interesting, funny, and LOVES the dirty jokes i tell. she was my date to this wedding, and she was GORGEOUS, and i was a groomsman and wearing a dashing tux, i looked the best i have ever looked.
she met my family, they all adored her, my uncle even came up to us while we were talking and asked when he could expect to come to my wedding (and winked)
of course, then came time for the bride to throw the Bouquet. at that moment she had backed off looking for me to (as i was told later) "Spontaneously marry me so she wouldn't have to be a 'single eligible woman' and get in-front of everyone", when it was tossed in the air, it wasn't even near her and there was a small fight over who "Grabbed it first"
then came time for the Garder (yeah i didn't know what that is either...) so the "single men" line up and try to catch it.
let me tell you, when I caught it, all eyes turned on her.
i turned to my parents, they took a picture (which she ran up and got under my arm for) as i held up the Garder i asked "So whats the significance of catching the Garder?"
apparently that means i'm getting married next >.<
we had a great time, and as she often does she came over and slept on my floor. (because she is just a "friend")
the next day (sunday) she was very vocal to our group of friends about how annoyed she was that i didn't invite her to bed. (oh i had, she knows i have the hots for her, i tell her that about three times a week) and we had a polite discussion about who did/did not invite whom to bed.
so that night (last night) she comes over again, and i look at her and say "You gonna come to bed tonight?" and thus starts the BEST sleepless night i have ever had.
now, we didn't have intercourse, despite me telling her i wanted to do stuff to her about an hour before we went to bed. but i gotta tell ya, something about watching a beautiful woman sleeping next to you, knowing that you are sexually interested in her and still getting in the bed anyway, is better than 8 hours of sleep.
so yeah. to everyone that can hear: Thorlord is having the best day of his life today.
and its only 12:43pm.

yeah, she slept in the bed again, i think this is the next thing we are doing.
its so WEIRD.
its 5:30am, i got 6.5 hours of sleep, and i'm not really tired, considering that most of the 6.5 hours was spent sleeping in 10min intervals. (i dreamed i was a time-Traveler like Hiro from Hero's =) FUN!)
anyway, it was a good day.
now that i have some time i can elaborate on the situation with the girl.
We act as a couple, we do the same things a couple does, our friends think we are dating in secret (because when they ask if we are dating we say "no")
infact, i was getting tired of doing boyfriend things, but not getting the title or ability to say that im in a relationship. i was getting frustrated and was planning on just slowly stopping the boyfriend activities, my friends all agreed that if i starved her of that attention that i give her, she might hopefully see what she was losing and want to latch on.
but then i got a different viewpoint. while she says we aren't a couple, yet acts like we are. it could be from her last boyfriend, who kinda really screwed me over from turning her away from relationships all-together. And to confine to the boundaries of another relationship that might end in disaster is something she doesn't want to go through again.
so essentially, i have to prove myself to her that i can do the boyfriend role, and wont hurt her in the end.
and while its still kinda Effed up, at least i get to sleep next to her, and damn it, if that doesn't make me wake up with a smile on my face, so yeah, ill fill that boyfriend role as long as she wants, until she is ready to "date" or until we separate ways.

You use your best judgement, only you can prevent forrest fires... I mean... whatever, you know what I mean. What you're doing now is clearly working for you so run with it.
I would recommend not changing your behaviour towards her. Continue acting like a boyfriend but remain openly flirting with other girls. Remember, "she made the rules" you're just playing by them, and "You're sure as hell not going to sit around and wait for a girl who doesn't know if she wants to be with you or not." Let her know she can change the rules whenever she wants, and you'd be more than happy to oblige. But until she's ready, you don't belong to her. This usually works very well for me because I honestly don't know if I want the title, so I'm never pushing the issue. But I prefer to date multiple girls at once until I narrow it down to one... or none heh. "Next three contestants please step forward"  However, younger women don't really put up with this kind of attitude because they can pretty easily get another guy. Once you start getting older, quality women are everywhere and quality guys aren't. Mostly because women are such horrid little creatures until the age of 25 or so and they turn men into douchebags. Around 25 they realize they need to straighten up and fly right if they want to actually land one of the few remaining good guys.
In summation, I couldn't be happier for you, good luck, trust your instincts, and God bless.

i'm not going to close myself off to other girls.
but unfortunately i am pretty picky when it comes to my women.
i meet one about once a year, so yeah, i'm DEFINITELY going to keep looking for another girl that will be just as awesome as long as this relationship with her is open. i'm not going to commit, i'm just not going to retreat like i was previously planning.

I remember my one friend tellign me. Not to put ideas in your head, but if a girl says she'll sleep inthe bed with you (after obvious sexual advances) but no funny stuff is suppose to happen... She wants funny stuff to happen. Haven't run into this situation yet so I cannot say if it's true or not.... Fith might know>?
But I agree with him when he says don't try and change the way you act towards her, especially if she came off a hard relationship.

yeah, i'm not really very good at just grabbing what i want. so its going to be a slow progression.
TBH intercourse isn't the goal, having a lasting relationship is. =)

If a woman gets in bed with you, she accepts that if you do everything perfectly, she wants to, and may, have sex with you. That doesn't mean you are capable of having sex with her, her expectations may be too great or simply unreachable. It is your goal to gauge her expectations and move forward accordingly. The sooner you recognize a snuggle night, and the more snuggle nights you have, the more of her respect (and heart) you will earn.
My super secret suggestion: the key to every girls heart, is through the forehead kisses. Master the forehead kiss, and they melt like butter... but be carefull, giving her forehead kisses melts you too... inexplecible phenomenon...

i would kill for a forehead kiss.
and while this girl has an amazing body, i am serious when i mean i would not mind putting off sex with her if it meant a longer, better relationship. she really is my best friend and whenever i am depressed or sad having her around cheer's me right up. i don't ever want to lose that.
but most importantly, she makes me feel like i look good.
i have HORRIBLE self esteem, i have always thought of myself physically ugly.
but the way she looks at me, the way she gets closer rather than pushes me back all make me feel attractive for probably the first time in my life.
my old girlfriends never made me feel attractive, they always made me feel like i was just good enough or all they could get at the time.
i even told her my real weight (270, though i weighed myself again today as i realized i was always wearing clothes when i weigh myself, im actually at around 262) she didn't believe me.
now, i KNOW i weigh more than i look (honestly, everyone thinks i weigh 220 max), but when she told me she has never thought of me as overweight or chubby. those words made me feel incredible.
