Are you talking about how you have to split your party into two ??, well, if your on the left side (party), you cannot defeat him without the help with the right side. So you need to switch to your Right side Party, and kill most of the limbs before he revives it, then switch to your Left party and Start doing big damage there.

Helps if you have a ribbon equipped too when you face Ruby that way the tentacles dont beserk you. Another thing to do is have W-summon and then Quad magic- Master sumon/Bahamut Zero. then you get 8 Bahamut Zeros, problem is although it gets round Ruby countering with Ultima it still isnt as powerful as KOR and makes the battle really long.
Also go in with Fury status so Limit breaks happen quicker plus to heal have W-item and use W-item trick (select first item then press cancel on the second one and it increases your items) that way you can get 99 megalixirs and you can use them (especially at the beginning if youre using all 3 characters keep em alive til you can actually hit Ruby)
To make it even easier (tho it will take an inordinate amount of time) you can max out your stats using sources by morphing the Unknowns in the Crashed Gelnika (if I remember correctly)
As for the battle with sephiroth just use KOR for the first form where you're split into teams, if your magic powers high enough should take just one (at most 2) KORs to wipe him, for the winged form best bet is to keep using KOR and keep your party healed, take him out as fast as you can so he doesnt have chance to use supernova.

from all those monsters in ff7, ruby is the easiest one to kill. you should aim for this one before fighting with emerald or ultima. coz only ruby has this deadly weakness.
ruby can be stopped by Hades.
Just keep on using Hades summon magic on it and you will win.
(ocasionaly, you may use KOTR to finish it off quickly)

you can defeat ruby with out kotr... or any other summons as a matter of fact
you even only have to lvl 80
all about the other materia u use learn to master the small stuff first
