Deffinetly a plus, I just sent in my second red ring o' death. Pretty sure its still a heat issue, so anything to reduce the risks is alright by me.
yup, not to mention that the harddrive is external, meaning that it adds very little heat to the console when it is at full speed. where as the disc drive is directly above the video chipset which is what has most of the problems.
