it's a reason why i'm in favour of the police having a lo of power...
in holland, and probably a lot of other countries too, when a police officer was a little too rough on the arrest, the criminal can sue the officer...
i mean, he's wrong, and still gets away with it...
i think that should be changed for one...

that's indeed wrong, but i mean in other circomstances...
when a police officer gets a gun pointed at him by a criminal... and you need to keep in mind that shooting gets you fired...
those sorta things will be needed to be adjusted...

okay. first off, i dont believe its only people being cowards. i think theres a problem with society in which the things we see from day to day... we get desensitized.
another thing, which i think is seperate from cowardice is jsut not wanted to get involved. danger also comes into it. id stick up for someone if its a fair fight for sure and i have but if someone is robbing someone else, what are the chances that they have a knife or even a gun? Im not going to risk my life for someones wallet and some cash. i wouldnt risk my own life for my own wallet and cash. all those things are material and can be gotten a new. but a knife to the chest is a little bit more permant if not final.
personally. ive helped peoplewith blown tires that i didnt know. things like that.
the only time i "saved" someone was a friend of mine. I was prolly about 14 or so and my friend was a year younger. both of us and a friend were on a swamp that had frozen over in the winter. the watter had been high from a hurricane that year that raised the water level substantially. a tree was up rooted and the ice was thin. we all told my buddy (john) to stay away but he must have gone by it by accent and he sunk right in. it was about 2 feet of mug and ice cold watter up to his shoulders. i had to grab onto a tree and have my other non-sinking friend hold me by the belt and i pulled him out. needless to say we had to drag him home on a sled and thow him in a bath. he lost his shoes in the mug and stuff.
funny thing is his mom gave us hot chocolate when we got him back and he didnt get any while he just sat in the tub lol. we still joke about it with him.
anyway. story time is over.
and to summarize, i feel its a lot of feelings mixed in, not just cowardice.

The main thing is the whole human unpredictabilty factor. A lake is a lake, its not going to chase you don to get revenge but a person could get your wallet not be happy with what they have gotten and shoot you in the face.

it would depend on the person though.It would also depend on what the issue was.If somebody was getting robbed I would step in,but if it was a fight between 2 people, no i wouldn't step in.I'd step in if it was unfair.Or if the person there fighting is older than the other person fighting.If you haven't seen the news in the U.S. an elderly man was beaten by a 17 year old man,and yet nobody stepped in.It's shocking at how cruel people are.
