Of course, I'd be usually given that by my jack-ass friends. So no. What I meant was when someone just gives you a free drink because they're that kind, (not anything gross:P) tastes awesome because you didn't use your own money.
but if you're in the right state of mind (or wrong) then i doubt it'd make much of a difference what the beer tastes like: if its good, then you arent complaining. if its bad, the you can say it was a dare

when people will buy me a beer i'd still refuse... basicly cause i don't like alcohol...
and when the meaning behind it is just to get someone drunk i still doubt you think that beer would taste good...

and while we are in here, you dont see to like alcohol very much wing... so why do you keep posting like above? to get a rise or to say that you dont approve of alcohol?

i don't mind people drinking at all, i just hate the taste, lol
and i saw my uncle crap himself all over and not remember we were there the next day because he's an alcoholic...
but i don't try to get people rid of alcohol, the above post i made was just to prove that giving a drink you don't like naturally wont taste better when it's given for free... lol
besides, i had a lot of my family and friends trying to get me to drink alcohol, which is in my opinion the worst thing about it... people thinking you're cool when you drink...
i was never realy invited to go into town because "You're no fun when you don't drink" but when i joined them i was the only one still dancing at 4 am when they were all too tired and drunk...
lol, was funny to see one of my friends walk around and throw up in garbage cans knowing the size of the hangover he'd get XD
but the thing i see when people get drunk every day just gives me another reason to refuse it...
so it's not that i'm against alcohol, cause at parties it wouldn't be a party without it, but keep it socialized drinking or when you're going out, not get drunk everyday because you're addicted or can't handle life...
so many people use it as an excuse, my uncle for instance, has his pension since a short while, and doesn't know how to handle it, he makes a lotta money because he rents out rooms from his house, but he can't handle the free time, he's already been in a clinic to get rid of it, and when he got out he got to hear he shouldn't drink ever again, kept it up for a few days and started with "How can a glas of whine hurt?" ended up drinking 4 glasses in 30 minutes or so...
so, it's not realy a rise, and not dissaproving it, it's more a personal thing hate the taste (tastes bitter, yuch) and the smell (dunno how, but i can smell an alcoholic drink) and people abusing it...
my neighbor for a good 7 years isnt an alcohol kinda guy and we always go back and forth about how most people turn moronic when they have some, but i never forced it upon him. i try and invite him out with us (myself and more mutual friends) in the hopes that he will see that we arent drinking to get drunk and we dont turn moronic. he always refuses and i get it. hes a shy guy and he would feel out of place. totally understood.
i just worry for him because i mean down the line in college... he will drink. i mean something right. And I just dont want him to get really messed up around people that he doesnt know, where as with me, we would just chill and laugh and it would be a good time.
so yeah. a lot of people are weird when it comes to alcohol. either they cant stop or are beligerant or just do stupid things. the worst is when people dont know their own limit. bugs the crap out of me to be honest.
and taste lol... well as i tell everyone, it is afterall poision. it shouldnt taste good alone. thats why i hate beer and thats why i made this thread. to share recipes that do taste good. lol.

well, i'm a bit more laid back as your neighbour in that case (what's moronic? anything to do with mormons? or morons?)
but the bad taste of alcohol always made my family and friends say "You need to learn to drink it" on which i usually reply: "Why learn to drink something you don't like in the first place?"
i prefere a good chocolate milk, 7up, coke whatever, lol
and if i look at drunk people, i think a sugar rush is a hell of a lot better...
you get hyper, laugh at anything, and no hangover in the morning XD
moronic is when some is a moron. i think its a word lol.
and hangovers are really just the byproduct of dehydration to the brain (your brain kinda floats in your head with a certain amount of ... liquid i guess) so that lessens when you have all the alcohol) assuming you are being dumb and not drinking in moderation. so the best thing to do is drink water as the night goes on.
and the fun thing about mix drinks is they usually have a lot of sugar anyway so its a sugar high too. and really. if you make drinks they way they should be made, they should taste horrible.
the only thing you have to "learn" to drink is hard stuff on its own, which is pretty stupid.
