i'm feeling double sided, and i heard the same thing, and it wasn't jsut the aztecs pointing out that date, anyway, when i first heard north korea designed their own nuke i started to fear for the worst, IF it gets into terrorist hands and they'll use it we're in for some big trouble, cause the western world WILL respond to it 
then again, i still have a little trust in humanity left and hope that a good person will stand up and stop it, and of course, my common sence doesn't believe in predictions...
it would be too hard to believe all of humanity will actually die... or parts of the world will be destroyed...
and, of course, there's the hope that i'll "live to die another day"

yeah, i heard that bomb was supposed to be "economical". anything that kills living things is NOT "economical"

I wouldn't say the world will completely end, but it's definitely heading in that direction. Whether it be due to , global warming, war, racial divides, sicknesses spreading, etc.
But I agree with Shandy, we should still have the power to control what happens in the world.

They said that in 2006 a meteorite would fall and one half of the world would freeze... You can believe almost anything these days >.<
But still, it´s true that the risk´s higher now, because of the global situation.

Lets see.... people thought the world would end in 2000; according to Terminator 3 the world should have ended in 2004, but it still hasn't. I don't think it will end for many more years to come, but no-one really knows.

Ya I heard the Aztec calender says it will end on Dec. 15th 2012 and also Nostradomus (who supposedly predicted the exact time and date of his death) said so too... but I dont really believe damn word of it I mean... how exacly is the world just supposed to end? lol

*RAISES HAND SPASTICALLY* I KNOW HOW IT'S GONNA END! i'll be throwing a b-day party for my mom, go out and by booze for it (since i'll be 21 then) and then get abducted when i'm there. then when i'm being held captive, i'll notice a large metal object in the corner of the room. Out of curiousity i'll hit all the buttons and hack into a government website. but while doing this, i'll think it's a video game and decided to launch all of the u.s.'s nuclear weapons around the world, causing a nuclear holocaust.
but yeah, anyhow; the 2000 thing was just a bunch of people that wanted to cause a hype for the new year, about 78% of people weren't that dumb. and terminator 3 was a movie, it wasn't gonna be true. just like the jetson's said we'd have flying cars by 1996.
