Game Announcement: Major upgrade to the item system! (Beta)

Alright after spending forever on rewriting the whole item system I have converted over the new system to work with your account to see how smoothly everything goes.

Please note that this is not the final version so I expect bugs

The system doesn't seem very fast right now because during this testing process both the old and new system are working simultaneously. Earlier I ran a script to transfer all of your old items to the new DB. It turns out in total the members here have a total of 77,973 items

The script ran for three hours to transfer everything Now that this new item system is in place it would be very easy to add new features such as Gary's idea about searching rares from others.

You may already notice that your inventory has pagination if you have over 30 items. At the top of the page displays how many total items you have. Example of my items:

Thanks to a good idea by Shandris it will also display how many rares you have at the top as well. I will hold off on adding additional features to the new system until all of the minor bugs are fixed which shouldn't take long.

Planned upcoming features soon:

* Allow you to select which items to display in your battle list or not. This is to make your battle list cleaner especially if a lot of rares appear on your list.

* Sort your inventory by item type (Example: All Rares, All Weapons, All Armor, etc.)

* Items that cannot be traded/given will not appear on list.

* Award rare items to winners of the chocobo race

You may notice that if you own the Steal Ability it is no longer displayed as item but under the Defend option during battle. The Give/Trade pages are cleaner now in only displaying one item at a time instead of repeating it a billion times. Once the old item system is removed the new system should load really fast.

I am aware of some bugs with the trade page, but feel free to let me know of any bugs or error messages anywhere. Please provide as many details as possible if you decide to let me know about the bugs. Thanks and enjoy!
