officialy im christian...i was raised like that...but not in a strict way...i was given space to think for myself and decide wether i want to believe in God or no...and i chose...i don't believe in the bible...nor in God as we picture him today...i do believe there is something beyond our comprehension, but i cant believe in whats written in a book that was actually rewritten several times and contains errors and historical data that doesnt fit (dont ask me for details tho...i read about it but my memory is crappy so cant provide you with examples)...also i think that if God does exist, he pretty much lets us live our own lives and doesnt interfere

So you're agnostic right?
As for the bible, it was only written once. There is historical evidence for a lot of the events mentioned in the Bible, and I still haven't found errors in it with regard to historic events. As far as I know comparing the bible we have now to copies which were made at the time of writing showed no significant change in content.
I was brought up as a Christian, taking a fairly conservative view. But at school I was never really an all-out Christian, and not that many friends knew my faith. Once I came to university things changed, because I either had to stand up for my beliefs or give it up, and I chose to stand up for it. So I'm kinda evangelical Christian these days.
i dont believe in god as depicted in religions, i greatly dislike religion (but respect others beliefs as long as they dont enforce it on others)...
but i do believe there is some form of power that i have no intention of trying to comprehend, somewhere, something caused something to happen somehow (lol)
Worse to be loves lover than the lover that love hath scorned.
I have no religious following, if you were to ask me I'd say Christian. But all I know for sure is that I know there's a God out there. And it's not from someone forcing things down my throat, or just from believing. It's from the few miracles of what I've seen happen which I'd never say were possible. As well as the stories which family members have told me, with others that were able to verify the truth in it.
Example: My great uncle told a story about how one day he and his father were working on top of a roof, and basically they were throwing rubble off of it. He was all alone on one said of it when he claims to have grabbed a 2 by 4 and attempted to throw it off the roof. Apparently something on the wood clipped his clothing, and as he threw it the wood took him with it on it's way (30 stories or so high). And he claims he really don't know what happened but all he knows is that something "pulled" him back onto the top of the roof. He said it felt like a human hand but he knew that was possible because no one was near when he turned around.
Now, you may not believe me, and I technically can't prove it...but...I believe him.
I'm Catholic, and have been taught the Catholic faith by my parents since I was born. I believe in the one and only God.
*recites the apostle's creed*
I believe in God, the Father almighty,
Creater of heaven and earth.
I believe in Jesus Christ, His only son
Our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy spirit,
Born of the Virign Mary and became Man
He was crusified under Pontius Pilate
Suffered, died and was buried.
On the third day He rose again from the dead
And assended into heaven
He is seated at the right of the Father
I believe in the Holy Spirit,
The Holy Catholic church,
The communion of saints
The forgiveness of sins
The resurrection of the body
And life everlasting. Amen.

yeah you could say i am, more or less..tho i do not like to assiociate myself with any "official groups or philosophies" when it comes to religion...i simply have my own opinions and beliefs which i follow
Well, I'm brought up as a Christian... but we're not very religious in my family, so the term 'brought up' is a bit off, really...
I believe that there is something much greater than us, an invisible 'force' that makes things as they are, be they good or bad (Nature itself, maybe?).
I don't believe in god as most Cristians do, even though it's a beautiful idea. I've never really (in my heart) asked god for anything (maybe because it was always too late to ask his help? ). I just don't pray, go to church or anything like that.
I believe in a spiritual world, not the heaven as the bible tell us about. I believe in many 'un-bible'-like things - that is me, and if there is a God...
Then he still loves me. Becuase if there is a thing the religion-classes taught me, then God's love is eternal, even those who does not believe in him.

It may be that I'm not active anymore; it may be so that I don't even log in and check up on things. But that does not mean I will forget about this site, it's members, and all the fun I've had here. Thank you guys for making this an awsome forum for all kinds of people!

It is in a sense. But that love might not last till the next world, if you believe that.
And going to church doesn't make someone a Christian.... Its not compulsory.
And its never late to ask, in case you're wondering. Thats why there are things called miracles.

Thats fine, I was just wondering. Coz protestants do share a lot with Catholics, but there are differences in terms of classification of saints, the position of Virgin Mary and the views that are sometimes taken on important issues.
