well besides the fact that he is a hero, the fact that he is more or less lost and doesnt know whats going on half the time, gives him a more human quality, which is why people can relate to him as a character and get into the game.

well i dont have a problem with female leads, but ffx-2 was pointless. the world was ending or soemthing and everyone was happy. it was ridiculous

No, FFX needed a sequal. You can't end a story like the way FFX did. BUT I'll admit X-2 was crap. They could have done so much with the open ending of X but chose to make a silly charlies angels spinoff.

thanks stappy, that's exactly what it was, square trying to capitalize on the success of charlie's angels and other girl power crap! The only good thing about that game was being able to change classes, the rest of it sucked!

They tried 2 bring a FF5 feel back 2 FF but the system sucked. Gun mage....common! They could have done better. Also put more than 3 characters intp a game. It sucks having a fixed party.
