The music thing´s probably new since there was none yesterday 
I´d say you try making a new race, since there´s a "racer" count at the low end of the forum screen; if someone wants to race and sees a racer inside, will most probably enter. At least I´d do so
But, I´d like to suggest a Racing topic or similar, so people tell everyone they´re making a race.

I could add a simple "the time here is ..." feature that allows you to see what time it is where the person lives. However it is only as accurate as the GMT setting the person changed in his or her profile.
