You can dl Meltdown from Bomb (high level), Gayla (medium level), Elastoid (medium - high level) and Jumbo Cactuar (all level).
The easiest way is by refining using Gayla cards, if you need hints try referring to my walkthrough.

right now, i'm at...erm...its a boss battle...and...(sorry, i haven't played in a while)..erm...its a sorceress...not ultimecia (sp?)....a sorceress that "absorbed" rinoa....erm....whatshername...anyways, that fight put me off the game for ages, and i wanna get past it. Help?

hehe i'm stuck at Disk 2... The stupid disk keeps on freezing when you have to save rinoa when she is hanging off the Garden Base. Y.Y stupid pre-owed game...

The sorceress name is Adel, a sorceress from Laguna's time sealed at space right? Well the mission is to defeat Adel while keeping Rinoa alive but take note that for each of Adel's turn she'll absorb some % of Rinoa's HP so try casting Regen or any other healing spells to keep her alive. Avoid GFs and limit breaks which deal surrounding damage (imagine Squall performing LionHeart onto Rinoa instead of Adel  ). Adel has 3 type of attacks, Flare (deals low damage to a single party member), Energy Bomber (deals around 800++ damage to a single party member), and Meteor (deals low damage to all party members). Don't use Holy elemental attacks or spells onto Adel as she absorbs them, but she's weak against Wind element...so junction Tornado onto Elem-Atk and use normal physical attacks (preferably Squall's Gunblade). Did that help?

do you mean when you have to punch a paratrooper to death? the same freezing thing happened with me on mine(as well as when i confronted edea for the first time) but I found a way of getting it to work, in a wierd way. Just turn the playstation upside down, and see if it works then. it did for me.

o.O turn the playstaion upside down. I wish i new that sooner i just got the game cleaned and revamped as if it were bran new. If it still doesn't work i'll do that. Thank you
