You carnt really. Your characters advance through the sphere grid, and basically level up through that (as in stats increase as levelling does in other games).

Sphere levels are basically the number of moves you can move on the sphere grid. When you move one space on the sphere grid, you use up one sphere level you have gained. That more clearer?

Oh, the game remembers also paths you have taken, so if you want to backtrack for any reason, it takes 1 sphere level for 4 moves anywhere you have been before.

Well, I am also pretty new in this game, but a have played other FF games, so I choose the sphere Gird in the beginning of the game. I thought that I could learn it pretty quick. Now I truly understands the spehere gird, but I have some tough time in the battels. So my question is. What is the best way the Character grid or the sphere grid ?

the bast way:
is to pick you 3 favorite players, i recommend Auron and Tidus and anybody else but Yuna
only use 3 people throughout the whole game except when you have to use the others
whoen on the sphere grid and you are running low on certain spheres only use them on the three you are plannig using the rest of the game

what tjaxon said. yuna is woeully weak though. for me the best characters were tidus, auron, and wakka. ti molded them into a way that they could make up for their weaknesses when they ought alongside each other.

Well, so far I have just switched in and out with all of my charters. It have worked out well for my so far, but I really have some thought battels so far. Even in the no-boss fights, do I have trouble. But I've don't think that Yuna sucks because her Aeons are quite powerful and she's a good healer. And her Nul-Elements cures are very useful. It had worked out, but in the battels, I really have to think of what i'm doing to stop my enemys. More than in the other games. Thanks for the help, I will see if it works out.. Wink

It's best just to switch everyone in, even if its only for one turn, don't level Kimahri though, a certain fight later on gets harder the stronger he is.

Also what I've been doing so far. I've also level Kimahri up, but I think that I've been though the fight. - If its the fight vs. the to others Ronsos, where Kimahri is alone ..
