Wuthering Heights.
Anyone read this book "Wuthering Heights" ?
It's a great book with the haunting moors as background and the strange tale of almost supernatural love, jealousy, hatred, delusion, despairand, and most of all, it is about vengeance. A spiteful, remorseless and hopeless vengeance exacted for a lost and mourned love. It's a dark novel which makes you feel angry, makes you say " But why " " What if " it kills me! But, amongst this blind darkness of feelings there's something more than mere despondency: there's faithfulness to a love that is able to survive beyond any parting, even in death. Actually this love was more alive in death than in life.
The characters in it all have great stories, especially Heathcliff, when it feels like you know so much about him you find out that his story is getting more mysterious and more complicated, there are so many unanswered questions, especially about Heathcliff. It makes you confused, especially in the beginning.
It's my favorite book of all times, I first read last summer and loved it, I started reading it again right after I finished it because it's just amazing, and sometimes I just read my favorite chapters.

Wuthering Heights happens to be my very favourite classic. It was so different than all of the other books of its time. &&The beginning was extremely haunting, wouldn't you agree?

I can't believe I am finally talking to someone who read the book !
Yep, it's my favorite too ^^
And yep I agree with you, the beginning was extremely haunting and confusing too if you don't focus. I think it Emily made it like that instead of talking about Heathcliff's personality, so we know who is he but we can't really get him sometimes

You're sure to find it. But I have to say that the beginning was truly my favourite part of the book. Like she was a ghost! o.o;;

Well, I am still looking .
I was kinda confused in the beginning, but I liked it.
She is not really a ghost, but because he loves her so much, he asks her to appear as a ghost after she died. The power of love you see (some people might thing I am silly right now )
I looooooooved the part when Catherine was dying till she died and gave birth to her daughter, Heathcliff is amazing there .

I remember that part! And I was confused in the beginning, too. But everytime I read that book, I always look to my window with fear, almost like I'm expecting Catherine to grab my hand through it!
