i do i love the junction system has WAY more side quests than others ive played all the FF series. The game was just so cool i want a FF8-2 to clear some stuff up it could be really interesting i have also think the story was not really flawed and the ending was perfect but kinda long lol so do you like this the best put the reason here now! lol sry i am a bit hyped today XD

I have to agree. The junction system and the card game are the best system of all time if you ask me. This game had so much to do. It's also pretty long. You don't even get an airship for ages!
I wish they'd make a sequel that was based on 8 and kept the mechanics..that would freakin rule!
Well, from the ones I played, 8 had the best Card Game (I never understood how 9´s worked ), I also liked a lot the Junction System, and I also liked that the enemies aren´t easy at a high level, but they should be a bit stronger with low levels, I guess...
But I´m playing 9, and I´m liking it a lot.

FF9's battle system kinda common actually, there's many other RPGs (PC,ps1/2,etc) follows the item-skill learning basis (skills learnt by equipping compatible items onto heroes).
Even games like Kult heretic kingdoms for example.
I don't quite like FF9's battle system as sometimes you gotta spend longer hours gaining APs for learning the particular skills though we're equipping low-level items..really a big prob when we're fighting strong monsters for (lvling up) purposes.
FF7's materia battle system is better in my opinion, the APs for the materia can be easily leveled up at the Northern cavern so there's no really big prob.
FF8's battle system is the easiest in my opinion, simple...effective...and fun! lol
But, I would really prefer some modifications to the battle system...I would really want square-enix to make battle systems which require players to do EXPERIMENTS or COMBINATIONS...like fusing two different elements or magics to form a really different or unique ones LOL!

I know what you mean. The nearest thing I've found in any game I've played, that's ever been made, is the combo systed in Shin Megami Tensei: Digital Devil Saga 1 & 2.
But I've played FF VIII, IX, X, X-2 and XII, and even though I find some aspect changes to the later installments, pretty cool and interesting, I still prefer FF VIII. I love the GF junctioning system. I also like the fact that the more items you obtain from battle, the more magic you obtain. The next favourite for me would be the sphere grid in FFX.

I've played almost every FF and I always put FF8 as one of my favorite. I love the storyline.

This is my favorite game among the other FF....the Draw system just blew me away...the GF's are just out of my league, The Card Battle omg it's just too good to even explain by words....
