im actually pretty surprised that 8 is doing so well, if there is anything that is wrong with the game (and there isnt) its that the plot is a little shaky...

FFVIII's plot is average, not good and not bad. It's weakness lies with the battle system by the way, the ratings which pulled down the game by quite a lot of points is the battle system. It has good points over graphics, sound, and storyline.
I definitely need to agree about how well FFVII and FFX storyline is doing, this is a healthy poll - what a real poll should be! ^^
Wished that FF Tactics has it own place among the poll though.
i personally love ff VII through IX the same. the graphics on IX are too childish, the storyline on VIII sucks, and the skill status on VII wasn't my favorite part but they had everything else perty dang strong... the graphics for their time but the ideas and battles were always fun
You're the only one to post in this topic anyway. I can't say FFT has a bad storyline because I still haven't played it.

ive plated FF tactics advance and i thought that was good
but it has to be FF7, followed by FF9, im sorry but there isnt a place for FF10, tidus just annoys me too much

I find Kingdom Hearts' storyline kinda confusing, they make it very blury and ya know...simply wants you to continue playing the game so that you'll know whats it all abt.
Haven't seen anyone mentioned KH's storyline is good, but...what those who've played it think? I'm playing KH2 at the moment, just got Sora back.

I have mentioned the game several times in the KH-forums as my absolute favorite of PS2-games, and it still is. And the story is actually what I like the best about the game - it's usually shrouded in unanswered questions so I don't mind.
to be honest I thought that 12's story played out like a shakspearian epic. so ill cast my vote for 12

I didn't play through the whole of FF7, but I did play through FF4 through FF6 and FF8. I haven't played X or XII yet. But so far, I think FF7 had the most intruiging storyline and I think that its the best, with FF8 coming in a close second.
