No way, here's the team i would have for whole game:
Cloud - Main party member
Sephiroth [Revived] - Main party member
Zack Fair [Revived] - Main party member
Tidus - Secondary party member
Balthier - Secondary party member
Squall - Secondary party member
That would be the best team in my opinion. ^.^
As for battle engine: FFVII battle engine, using materia for magic ETC.
Characters: If there are too many characters to implement into the game as main characters they could be SUMMON materia.
BGM: FFVII and FFVIII music, maybe with a twist of X for the happiness of it.
Story: Villains and Heros must join together as they have all had a messenger tell them about an incoming threat that can only be defeated in mass numbers, and obviously the heros and villains are the elite fighting forces of the planet. The dead heroes and dead villains are all revived by the messenger and can once again reunite with their former companions to aid them once more.
The revived fighters would not be able to stay alive once the threat has been vanquished, this is where some of the revived warriors rebel and join the forces of the threat.
Graphics: Not breath taking graphics, as the more graphic intensive, the smaller the world and less game play out of it.
Playback ability: YES definitely.
Dungeons: A main feature, the dungeons will be more complex than that of previous ones: left up right down done.
That would be the ultimate final fantasy game.
