Video card problems solved, by spending money.
ive been having trouble with my x1600's
not only did one die. but the other one is frankly, quite weak.
on my new LCD monitor, i cant play my games at the required 1680x1050 at any decent amount of frame rates.
so i bought the second best video card out there.
ok, its still the best SINGLE video card there is.. since the the only video card that does better than it is the GeForce 7950, which is technically 2 video cards in one.
but the SECOND best video card is the ATi x1900 XTX 512GDDR3 Crossfire Edition.
normally a $400 card ($550 full price, but around $400 on newegg) but i got it for $250...
there.. i win.. if i want to upgrade, i can grab a second x1900XTX and get around 35% increase in preformance (and get even MORE preformance than the 7950..) but im going to upgrade again when the DirectX10 cards come out.
there, i win, im selling my old x1600 for $100 to a friend. so it was technically a $150 upgrade to the second best video card available.
Realtime Video Card comparison charts thats my video card currently selected (the one with "CF" in the name is that card... but two of em...)
the game is Fear at max settings...

I got a crappy Geforce 6600 ...that does even wor k properly ..always having glitches when ever i play..so im tryin save for a nice ATi one like the one you got ....and thats a sweet deal saving $300... man lucky
